The Hayloft is an independent, self-contained, two-person flat within a couple of minutes’ walk of the centre of England’s smallest city. The flat has its own front and rear entrances and secure off-street parking to the back of the house. The cottage oozes character, from the oak beams to the huge inglenook fireplace with woodburner. Well equipped kitchen with traditional oak table and pews. The spacious bedroom has a king size bed and a small single bed, suitable for a child. Adjoining the bedroom, is the shower room with walk in shower. There is a large private patio area for relaxing and barbecuing outside, with views of the hillside. We have a vineyard producing English Sparkling and Still Wines, made on site.

Our self-contained, studio annexe - which sleeps up to 4 guests (one king, one sofabed) - is just a 5-minute walk from the centre of Wells, with parking on site. The annexe is situated in the grounds of our property. There is parking for one car directly in front of the annexe. The space includes kitchenette, dining area, lounge area, kingsize bed, sofabed, plus separate bathroom with a shower and bath. TV with Freeview included, plus WiFi. All linen and towels included.

Hulbert’s Place: C15th house in the heart of Wells

This charming Grade II-listed two bedroom maisonette is situated within a row of ancient dwellings, just a short stroll from Wells Cathedral, The Bishop's Palace and the heart of Wells. Each of the two levels are embellished with wonderful authentic details such as original beams, restored timber floorboards and stone fireplaces. Originally built in the 15th century, the house has been sympathetically restored with an abundance of character, comfort and style.
