Gear up for the day with a morning beverage on the treehouse terrace, then relax in the soaking tub, or take a break under vaulted ceilings of the airy living room after a day of LA sightseeing. Contemporary artwork and a bold bedroom mural contrast with a sleek kitchen and crisp, white walls. This is a very special space; large, bright, modern and very private. A free-standing building nestled behind our Spanish revival home in a quiet Burbank neighborhood. Vaulted ceiling with skylight. Brand new bathroom with rain-shower and soaker tub. Large living room and kitchenette space and a huge bedroom with plenty of storage. There is dedicated wi-fi and a comfortable office area. The house is filled with artwork from LA artists, to bring a little of the LA streets to the comforts of Burbank. Guests will have access to dedicated Internet Wi-fi, Roku TV, Netfix, Amazon and HBO, outdoor dining area BBQ. A washer and dryer are available if needed. The guesthouse is a separate free-standing building located behind the main house with a private, keyless entrance. We live in the main house. We look forward to meeting you! For those looking to explore Los Angeles, we are close to the studios, shopping, Griffith Park, public transit and all major thoroughfares. There is one queen sized bed with a memory foam topper. An additional single bed can be added to the room if needed. The guesthouse has a separate kitchen area, however it is not a full kitchen. There is no stove or range. There is a microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge/freezer. At this time we do not accept long term guests.

Fully equipped kitchen with service for eight. 2 flat-screen T.V.’s with full list of Direc-TV channels and hi-speed internet access. Shopping, restaurants, grocery, Starbucks and Jamba Juice less than a mile. Getty Museum and Universal Studios are a short drive, and Disneyland is under 45 miles. Close access to westside of Los Angeles (Beverly Hills, Century City, Santa Monica, etc.), and less than one mile from some of the best hiking trails in the city. Located in an enclave of multi-million dollar residences, the Encino area is home to many celebrities, and is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in all of Los Angeles. Explore close by Ventura Boulevard, a 20-mile stretch of shopping, restaurants, eclectic shops and more. Centrally located to Beverly Hills, beaches, museums and downtown, this area truly has it all. Please note that we have 2 very friendly dogs that live in the main residence. They are NEVER allowed in the guest house, whether we have guests in residence or not. If you or your family has an allergy or is otherwise disinclined to be around dogs, it's quite easy for us to make sure that they are confined to areas where guests won't interact with them when they are coming, going or in the backyard. If not, and you'd like to meet our pooches, then "woof-woof," because they'd love to meet you!

Studio by the Beach with Separate Entrance

Open the sliding door to let the gentle sea breezes waft in and settle down to stream a favorite show on the Smart TV. The interior blends coastal touches with boho chic, and there are little luxuries like a work space and secluded private outdoor space. I adhere to the CDC cleaning protocols. I use UV C light for added disinfecting and sanitizing of the Studio, and have also added a Dyson air purifying fan and heater to insure you have clean air. This studio is located on the first floor of my three story home. The studio shares the first floor with the garage so you don't have any shared walls. You have two windows, one in the bathroom and a sliding glass door in the bedroom, they bring in light and the sea breeze but have no views. While this studio is private you may hear footsteps above, music drifting in from other parts of the house, and the sounds that come from everyday living. You'll have one parking space available on the right side of the driveway. More free parking is usually available at the end of the street, 15 houses down on panama. During the day there's extra parking at kiddie beach. I live on the two top floors of the house so i'm easily accessible for as much or as little interaction as needed. The setting on a quiet street is only half a block from channel Island harbors Kiddie Beach and 1.5 blocks to Silver Strand Beach, a popular surf spot and vantage point for catching the sunset. Watch for whales and discover a yoga studio, corner market, and salon, all only moments away. Hollywood by the sea has unique sounds too. You'll hear sea lions, boat horns, and on occasion a fog horn. Every morning at 8am you'll hear our national anthem, and at sunset you'll hear taps. You'll have to pay attention or you'll miss it. It's one of many thing I love about this area.

House is divided - Guest will stay in the Two-Story Main House while Hosts live in the back of house with separate entrance. We are well-traveled creative types on premises in the divided back house. We'll meet you when you arrive and show you the house & yard, and then be available by text or call for any questions. We are more than happy to interact with guests, but also respect that some guests may want to keep to themselves. Walk to Hollywood, Beachwood Canyon, or Franklin Village. Uber or Lyft comes in seconds and takes minutes to Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Echo Park, and West Hollywood. Griffith Park is minutes from the house. Walk to the Hollywood and Vine Metro Red Line Station, The Flyaway bus from LAX drops you off at Hollywood and Argyle just 5 blocks away. It is only 8 dollars. Uber and Lyft cars are everywhere Not Handicap Accessible - we are up two flights of outdoor stairs to enter the house, and bedrooms are up another flight of stairs. This house is not child-proofed so not suitable for children, there are floor to ceiling windows with no child guards.We do have a lovely doodle named Theodore. He is hypoallergenic and does not shed. He is kept in a separate yard and you won't be interacting with him unless you would like to of course!
