With the church of St Marys and the battle site of 1402 and a the remains of a Saxon castle all at the bottom of hill at Pilleth. The market towns of Presteigne and Knighton 6 miles, Hay on wye, Ludlow and the Elan Valley 20 miles. Everyday is nice 😊

Laburnum Cottage is a modernised annexe - see photos. Situated just outside Kington (at the bottom of a steep lane below Kington Golf Course) in the heart of walking country. We are close to Welsh border towns too. For walking - historic Offa’s Dyke is a few fields away. Penrhos Gin and British Cassis tours are near. Weobley and Brilley (where the film Hamnet was filmed) and Hay-on-Wye (book festival) are all a 20-minute drive away. Train stations are: Leominster or Hereford. Walkers welcome.

There are electric car charging points 9 & 13 miles drive from the farm, no charging from the lodge to the car is permitted.

Our eco house is a relaxed and comfortable place to stay in the beautiful & unspoilt Welsh Borders. We have a large garden growing most of our fruit & vegetables, our own chickens and provide free cider while stocks last. Please understand that we are a traditional bed and breakfast establishment. I know that the listing states that a whole flat or house is available, it is not. Unfortunately AirB&B insist that we put this otherwise it on will only list one bedroom.

Just 8 miles across the English/Welsh boarder takes you deep into the Welsh countryside, surrounded by the Radnor Forest, steeped in history, myths and miles upon miles of paths to walk, cycle or trek.
