Excellent accommodation for 4 in a perfect location for walking to Franschoek main St. All very clean and plenty of kitchen equipment and crockery. The property is tucked behind the owners' house on Van Wuk St and isn't obvious. It is up a drive behind two wrought iron gates. A sign on the gates saying Jonquil Cottage would have helped no end.

What a beautiful spot! A real home away from home with everything so carefully thought of! A stones throw from the hustle of the Main Street but quiet and peaceful on a little close! Dalena has thought of every single detail, and we had a beautiful stay! A very warm and personal welcome and spectacular views of the beautiful surrounding mountains! Thank you Dalena for your lovely cottage - it was a pleasure to spend 2 very peaceful evenings there. 🩵

Tierhoek is located at the end of a valley on the foot of the Langerberg Mountain range, it is a beautiful and peaceful setting and a great escape from the city.

Perfect peaceful location. Lovely rooms and great outdoor spaces. The host recommended Boschendal just down the road for the night market, which was awesome.

we had a wonderful, restful stay in beautiful surroundings. The space is as per the photographs with everything you will require. Natalie is a kind and caring host and we aim to return as soon as we can!

Great rustic farm stay outside of Swellendam. Safe to explore the area and the wood fired hot tub was a perfect addition. We loved exploring the farm and spotting all of the animals, especially the giraffe! Comms from the host could have been better though as we had some difficulty finding the farm for check-in without any directions.

What a perfect location for our young family. The room was comfortable and clean, the on-site restaurant had tasty meals, and the staff and hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. Activities right on our doorstop included walks around the farm, swim in the pool, play on jungle gyms, row a boat on the dam, and visit the crocodile centre. I also highly recommend a visit to the neighbouring Babylonstoren farm.

Chantelle is an excellent host and answers messages promptly. She allowed a late checkout and dealt with any problems that came up during the stay. The accommodation is very clean and beautiful. Highly recommended

This cottage is the perfect escape from the city. Located on a beautiful farm , the scenery was really something else. The space was clean , neat and absolutely beautiful. The hosts were friendly, warm and very welcoming and made our stay very enjoyable.

We spent two nights only but enjoyed our time very much. It was spacious enough for the two of us, super cozy and comfy, everything available to prepare a simple dinner, wifi to get some work done, hot shower after a hike (or pool to cool down) and lovely garden and patio to relax with a glass of wine. Safe car parking included, fan was provided,… we were more than satisfied.

It was great finiding a place that would accommodate us for one night. This place was perfect for a quick stay and we stayed comfortable. Communication was super clear and check-in was seamless! The aircom was also such a welcomed amenity in the scorching hot Robertson. Thank you for having us.

The place was a perfect location for my needs. I was able to walk to the local supermarket and stock up on some essentials for my 5 day stay. The best part were the hosts. They were more than accommodating and made me feel welcomed and taken care of. If their place is free the next time I’m in the area, I will gladly stay again.

We had lovely stay at Diann's place. Everything was perfect, cottage very cosy, neat, perfect location as its close to the town with all the restaurants and coffee shop and also Bontebok and Marloth nature reserves are few minutes drive. Dianne was very friendly host who provided us with all info we needed for comfy stay in Swellendam. Next time we will stay longer.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Zia Cottage! Honestly, the photos simply can't do this charming cottage justice. It's even more beautiful and inviting in person. Chantal has a truly meticulous eye for detail. Every corner of the cottage has been thoughtfully curated, from the stylish decor to the incredibly comfortable furnishings and the little touches that made us feel so welcome. We really appreciated wine from the area, olives, fresh flowers and even sweets and bubbles for the kids! The location of Zia Cottage is also fantastic. It's perfectly situated for exploring the surrounding area, with both Tulbagh and Wolseley just a short and scenic drive away. There's truly so much to see and do on the property as well as in the surrounding area! We left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning our return. Thanks so much Chantal.

Fionas Place is amazing. Everything you need is there, the pool is lovely warm and the garden beautiful. Fiona is a perfect hosts and was there at any time. We would definitely stay there again.

Hannelie en Deon zijn hele lieve mensen die het hun gasten erg naar hun zin willen maken. Ze hebben een fijne accommodatie, rustig gelegen. Ze hadden allerlei nuttige tips voor ons wat betreft uitstapjes. En we hebben heel erg genoten van hun gezelschap! Dankzij hun hebben we kunnen genieten van onze eerste Afrikaanse Braai tijdens een gezellig samenzijn.

Dit is een prachtig verblijf voor 3 personen, in een mooie tuin met eigen toegang. Het huis ligt in een villawijk met bewaakte slagboom bij de hoofdweg. Praktische ruimte met alles wat je nodig hebt en fijn tuinzitje en ligbedden. Vanaf hier snelle toegang naar winkels, kust, vliegveld en binnenland.

I stayed at Cate’s place with my partner for 2 days and I wish we’d booked for longer! The property in itself is beautiful and surrounded by nature. It’s walkable from the Main Street so everything is available close by. Check in and check out was smooth too. Wine tram is just a 12-min walk. There’s also a fireplace to keep you warm and cozy in winter months and good collection of DVDs to choose from. Don’t even think twice before booking! You won’t regret it 😊
