Shanty's villa was everything we wanted for our 3 night group stay. The view was beautiful, the breakfasts delicious and the one night we had a chef cook us dinner for 8 people (organised with Shanty) was spectacular! We also organised with Shanty, drivers to take us into Ubud and massages at the villa and both were done promptly.

we are so happy we choose to stay at Villa Celagi for our time in ubud. we would have stayed longer but it was already booked for the days we wanted. which im not surprised because the place, the hosts and the surroundings were absolutely stunning!! The two hosts Niels and Freja (and their daughter Joy) are such lovely people and were very helpful with making our stay extra comfortable. highly recommend staying here!!

An amazing stay at this beautiful villa in Ubud! From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at ease. The villa is incredibly private, offering a serene and peaceful atmosphere. It’s immaculately clean, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of. It truly felt like staying in a hotel, with daily cleaning and fresh towels provided. The villa is private, clean, and safe, offering a peaceful retreat. The staff went above and beyond, arranging airport pick-up for us and offering laundry service at an affordable price. Every morning, they provided a delicious breakfast with spectacular views of the rice fields. The staff provided exceptional service, always available to meet any request while ensuring privacy. I felt completely safe throughout my stay. If you’re looking for a tranquil, well-serviced retreat in Ubud, this is the perfect place! Highly recommend!

Any chance you could grab this wonderful villa please don’t hesitate because you get a 2,000 square meters villa (not usually pool villa sized 200sqm at this price and bcs this villa is mostly for the expat owner’s vacation home/ long stay rent. The landscape designer is the company that did for Four Seasons Bali and the likes (I found that after booking and saw their villa website and led me to who designed the villa. It’s amazing - my dream came true of a traditional luxury Balinese setting with feeling stepping back in time. So beautiful and relaxing. If the rice fields would be planted and green or yellow it would be even crazier amazing but we didn’t feel missing it at all during our 4 night stay. Location right in Ubud center but tuck out in the greens: BEST. Eva and Rini were very responsive, helpful and always tried their best to accommodate our needs : we can’t thank you enough. Such a unique experience! We were so happy we took the chance to book Wayan’s place - it really is one of a kind. We were just in awe of it. It’s funny, we realised how much we are disconnected from nature in our everyday lives and staying here surrounded by wildlife was so special. Wayan as a host is super proactive in his communication and helped us to arrange massages, food delivery and a scooter. He checked in daily to ask if we needed anything and was happy to clean upon request. At check out, he was very kind and flexible with us - he and his team go above and beyond to provide a wonderful experience. The mineral pool was refreshing and it just felt like no other place we’ve ever stayed before. 10/10. For people not used to staying somewhere so immersed in nature, I’d say 1 or 2 nights is ideal. You will undoubtedly see lots of insects - we had a very curious Praying Mantis pop up onto the bathtub while we were in it, which scared me at first but was actually quite funny! Thanks

Wij zijn anderhalve maand geweest met als doel te werken in een rustige, mooie omgeving. Dat is heel goed geslaagd. De villa ligt prachtig, rustig en afgelegen, direct aan het strand en met een heel fijne en mooi onderhouden tuin en zwembad. De wifi was ook uitstekend voor dit doel. Hoewel het huis wat verouderd is en de (keuken)inrichting vrij basic, hebben we ons er goed thuisgevoeld. De bedden zijn goed en er waren nieuwe banken. Er is een grote tv. De staf is vriendelijk en zorgt dagelijks voor de basis schoonmaak en mooie bloemen (Kadek), de tuin (Komang) en nacht security (Riris). Ngurah, de villamanager, spreekt goed engels en is bereikbaar voor vragen en als er onderhoud nodig is (bv stroom en warm water). We konden met hem uitstapjes maken en wekelijks naar Singaraja voor boodschappen in goed ingerichte supermarkten (Artesedana had veel verse producten waardoor we lekker zelf konden koken) en op de markt. Lopend dichtbij warungs (bezorgen ook) en voor kleine boodschappen.

Widok na dżunglę zapiera dech. Świetne miejsce do relaksu po trudach zwiedzania. Duże, przestronne pokoje. Wygodna część wspólna. Duży basen. Przy padającym deszczu trzeba uważać na śliskie płytki i trudne zejście do dwóch sypialni, które znajdują się pod basenem. Polecamy śniadania i kolacje oraz masaże. Willa znajduje się 5 km od centrum, dojazd samochodem zajmujemy czasami 40 minut, skuter jest dużo szybszy. W pobliżu znajdują się dobre restauracje.

Wat een paradijs! Prachtige tropische tuin. Brandschoon, rust, geweldige verzorging door Made. Ze heeft heerlijk voor ons gekookt en Ketut verzorgde de tuin. Mooiste verblijf ooit op Bali en Made was werkelijk geweldig! Voor ons hemel op aarde en we wilden niet meer weg!

This place was such a sweet little find. It’s tucked away in a quiet side alley, which made it feel really peaceful—perfect if you’re looking to get away from the noise. When I first arrived, it was super easy to check in, and everyone was really responsive and kind throughout my stay. The apartment itself is a single unit with everything included, which I loved—it felt private and cozy, like my own little home base. Waking up to the view of the rice paddies and just hearing nature around me was such a grounding experience. I felt calm the whole time I was there.

Stylish Retro Loft in Ubud’s Cultural Haven

Had a great stay in the apartment, it was nicely designed loft style apartment with a small pool. Atmosphere was peaceful and safe. Breakfast can be ordered, a nearby cafe is also an option, and there’s a drinking water dispenser available. Staff are very friendly and responsive. Location wise there’s not much in the immediate area, but Ubud town is just a short 15 minute ride away via Gojek. Wifi is ok, but can be better. Overall had a great stay in the apartment.

Beautiful villa. Photos don’t do justice to this stay. Right from the beautiful stone path entrance with fishes, to the big private swimming pool with greenery around and the beautiful curtain bed with an outdoor bathtub everything was so picturesque. They also have floating breakfast and spa services that we took. We stayed for 3 days and they cleaned the villa everyday and provided fresh towels as well.

We had a lovely stay at the villa. The villa was as described and as presented by the pictures. The supporting staff was also great, with Komang providing great breakfast and helping out with everything we needed and Kadek who drove us everywhere we wanted to go.

Perfect Oasis in Ubud! Our stay at this stunning villa was absolutely wonderful. The property is beautifully designed and impeccably clean, offering breathtaking views that perfectly capture the tranquility and natural beauty of Ubud. The team was exceptionally warm and attentive, making our experience even more memorable. Plus, having a scooter available for rent right at the villa was incredibly convenient for exploring the area. We would definitely return!

I had a truly lovely stay here. The service was incredibly thoughtful — the host took care of everything and always made sure we felt comfortable and supported. You can really feel the warmth and hospitality. The view from the villa was beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature and perfect for relaxing. It’s also very close to the rice terraces, which made it easy for us to explore one of Bali’s most iconic spots. The food was also amazing! Everything we tried was fresh and delicious — especially the Indonesian dishes. Highly recommend this place for anyone who wants a relaxing, scenic getaway with amazing service. We had a great time at Raquel's place! It's even more beautiful than in the pictures and it was amazing waking up to the view of rice terraces. Only thing that might bother some people is the thin layer of dust that comes with the cement style of the home - not a problem for us, but could be important for people with allergies. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!😊

Superbe villa qui correspond aux photos. Tout était très propre et rénové. L'hôte et sa femme étaient très aimables. Il faut prévoir que cette villa est à environ 35-45min du centre-ville d'Ubud. Si vous recherchez une villa authentique, qui se trouve dans un quartier calme entouré de rizières, n'hésitez pas! Merci pour le séjour!
