Dolwaen is perfectly situated for getting out & about in the beautiful Snowdonia national park. Ideally placed to visit historic town of Harlech, with its spectacular castle and quirky shops. Porthmadog is also close by where you can hop on the Welsh Highland Railway across to Beddgelert, Caernarfon, Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Traditional 19th Century Slate Miners Cottage

A characterful original slate miner’s cottage dating from the late 1800s. Located in Tanygrisiau, just outside the historic slate-mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, the cottage is a short walk from local shops, amenities and the village pub. A narrow-gauge heritage steam railway runs along the bottom of the garden and can be seen from all rear-facing windows. You have access straight into the mountains. It is beautifully warm in the winter and in the summer catches the sun from dawn until dusk. Zip World, Bounce Below , the LLechwedd Slate Caverns and the FFestiniog Railway are all close by.
