20-25 minutes from Austin. Near lakes and parks. Quiet spot in the city. Great place to stay for festivals (ACL, SXSW, etc), perfect for business people or couples- it is located in close proximity to my house but you are given complete privacy. **PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE ARE LOCATED NEAR A HIGHWAY AND YOU CAN HEAR IT FROM THE CABIN- this is not anything I can change and it’s unfortunately, a blessing and a curse. Its not super loud or anything, but some people are very sensitive to sound. :) **

It is private, safe, and quiet, and offers access to all of the shared outdoor space of Hudson Bend Ranch. Enjoy a romantic getaway or celebrate a special occasion in this one bedroom, pet friendly cottage which was the art studio of C. P. Montague, one of President Lyndon B. Johnson’s favorite artists. Please note: the bathroom is small, with a small toilet area and shower. Every rock in the home’s interior and exterior was picked up by hand, then hand laid by the two of them. Enjoy the fire pit and beautiful sunsets in the outdoor dining area under majestic heritage oaks.

Front porch with swing and large back porch with patio furniture. Front looks out to large open fields with regular deer, rabbit and turkey sighting. Because of our area, we have limited Wi-Fi.

The hot tub is a great all year round draw for relaxation after a day at the breweries/wineries/distilleries, lakes, antique stores, exhilarating hiking and unique restaurants... all within 30 minutes... come chill!
