The Bakehouse - character - history - convenience

The bake house is a unique historical building circa 1880 that has been converted into contemporary accomodation. It is part of a precinct of three buildings, all relating the same function of supporting "Watson's" Bakery in the shop facing Macquarie street (now a funky homewares shop). You get to enjoy a three bedroom house. Three bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom and toilet, living kitchen, dining and laundry downstairs. You have your own private courtyard with a picnic setting.

The perfect base for a visit to Hobart, situated amongst the cafes and shops of picturesque South Hobart, and steps to the glorious Rivulet Track. With the stairs to the entry and the bed in a raised platform "nook", "The Cave" may not be for everyone, but if you're looking for well located lodgings that ooze atmosphere I think you'll love it!
