So glad we stayed here, can’t rate it high enough! The room was perfect - it was spacious and clean and had everything we needed including a kitchen with appliances, wi-fi, and cable tv with every channel, and the bed was super comfy. The building and its facilities are beautiful and clean (loved the vintage elevator) and there’s artistic touches everywhere. The location is great, walking distance to everything if you’re so inclined. The hosts were gracious and met all of our needs, we have already recommended this to my daughter’s in-laws who will be visiting the area soon. We can’t wait to be repeat guests!

Medieval nerds should love it! That isn't us exactly, but we still had a great time. The kids thought staying in a "castle" was super neat, and our youngest enjoyed dressing up as a knight and having his picture taken. It's a fun spot with everything necessary for a good night's stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it giving five stars without hesitation. We would rate our overall experience here at the top of our list of all vacation rentals we have stayed at over the years. It is unique, beautiful, cozy and very clean. The hosts are kind, thoughtful and responsive. It’s obvious they made every effort to make the space feel like home. The bed, pillows and Linens are plush and comfortable. They provided a few waters and snacks which were a welcomed surprise after a long day of travel. Also, plenty of coffee, creamer and sweetener for coffee drinkers . They provide many extras that are convenient like a blow dryer, iron, and ironing board, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. These are little added extras that made our stay convenient after traveling so far away from home. The best part was the patio that offers beautiful views of the city in such a peaceful environment. We hope to return.

Kevin was responsive and kind, and very helpful. The house is not a four-star hotel, but suited our purposes perfectly for a big family! Kevin has built a really nice place to stay for a week. The highlights were lots of choices for sleeping, comfy beds, the hot tub on the roof, the view, the full kitchen and several places to eat meals and play cards, several seating areas, the sweet slow island pace, the view, no bugs, the view, and the view! It was also really nice to not have to clean much before leaving—just the basics.

Post holidays, my family and I were looking to have a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of the Bay Area. We were looking for something extra special and Chateau St. George delivered and then some. Plenty of space for a family of six, plus very cute little touches. The red room was absolutely beautiful. The chateau was spotless, and George and his lovely wife Charmelle were very accommodating. Anything we needed, they were present to help us. They had plenty of suggestions for where to eat and what to do locally. We would 10/10 return.

Willowbrook Manor is my idea of heaven, and Terry is a spectacular host who treated us like family. My husband--less obsessed with beautiful old-fashioned houses than I--said, "The house was cool, but Terry was incredible." I can't recommend it enough.

If you like a quiet, spacious place in a gorgeous green setting (& don't mind a bit of a curvy & pretty drive from town to get there), this place is fabulous! Every space was spotless, lots of public spaces and patios to hang out, nice firm bed, and jaccuzzi tub. OUr room had lovely views, lots of light and a balcony. I prefer the TV in a different room than my bed, so it was perfect to have a shared den where we could eat carryout and watch tv before bed. We barely saw anyone else. There were some repairs happening on the pool, but only my eyes determined that because they were so quiet. (it was too cold to swim anyway so that was not any kind of loss). It's at least a 15 minute drive from anything commercial (or coffee). We used this as a base to visit Oakland, Berkeley and SF and it was terrific to come home to.

It really was a Good stay we enjoyed the kitchen a lot, the shower like rain shower head. It was private and peaceful. Their were some unexpected Rules that I wish I knew before Renting it out that , rules were explain after you booked the stay. But Overall it was 4 out of 5

If you need a place to stay for the Eugene Marathon or an event at Hayward Field, this is a perfect option. The airbnb is unique being that it’s like a castle. It’s beautiful to sit on the porch and take in the surrounding nature. The host was also super responsive. Highly recommend to anyone!

A very unique and special experience. We weren’t sure how it would work with our 3 young kids, but everything was perfect. There’s even a bedroom size closet for the baby. Great supplies to cook meals and enjoy the surrounding dings. We hope to stay here again!

Thank you for the wonderful stay at Monroe Castle & the Cottage! ~ We had a wonderful stay for our son’s 35th Bday gathering with friends, family & 3 precious babies! Everything was extremely well taken care of, very clean, attention to detail was impeccable & we had all supplies we needed to start cooking for all 10 of us immediately and greatly enjoyed the kitchen with kitchen nook next to the family room. We saved the Great Room for quiet walks with babes in arms as well as a big family dinner and group chat. We brought & wore costumes all weekend and lucked out with gorgeous weather to stroll the grounds and say ‘Hello’ to all the sweet dragons around.
