"Away with the Birds" is a unique and creative retreat set within 1/2 an acre of rambling and magical gardens. Your room is a private self contained Bungalow on the property called "The Nest". Cradled in the foothills of Mt Donna Buang and a short stroll from shops & restaurants the property also has a lovely working pottery studio where your host, an accomplished potter & art therapist weaves her magic. You can pat our friendly cows, see the new lambs, get a visit from our resident kookaburras, king parrots, rosellas & cockies during your stay- or even a wombat on some nights!

Enjoy the soothing sound of the fast flowing Four Mile Creek , and relax in our lovely space complete with a double bed, couch, ensuite bathroom, a/c and kitchenette. Perfect for 2 persons! There are so many options for whatever you choose to do. This area caters to all your needs or dreams – away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Little House on the Hill

The Little House on the Hill at the eastern end of Warburton overlooks the chooks, the veggie patch, the orchard and across the valley to gorgeous 270° views. It is next door to the Big House, set on an acre that slopes down to the Yarra River. A great swimming spot on hot days and a good way to access the town and the rail trail (five minutes there, maybe ten minutes return - uphill). There are plenty of lovely walks nearby including the Aqueduct Trail that starts further up the hill.

The Old Mushroom Farm
