What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

Spacious accommodation with nice views. We were given clear instructions and met on arrival. The fireplace Waa an added bonus. Not far from the Spa Valley railway and other attractions. Recommend for a weekend away or even a longer stay.

Jenny & Lisa both responded really quickly to messages and proactively sent really useful extra info on how to get there so we arrived stress free! Lovely barn conversion in beautiful countryside. Very clean & tidy throughout & as described. Perfect base for us to explore nearby attractions. Excellent local & wider recommendations in the info book with OS Map for walks if needed. We had a lovely stay at this Airbnb. It’s in a beautiful and secluded area. The garden was secure for our dogs and had a lovely view from the garden. It had everything we needed and not far from some lovely walks / attractions. Gemma was also very helpful.

Our family enjoyed a three night stay and there was so much to do and see. The accommodation was excellent with very high standards. Our host was very welcoming. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Hilary.

Such a beautiful building and lovely surroundings. Was greeted by the friendly dogs on arrival and managed to get in earlier . The two downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms were amazing . Quirky furniture all around , well equipped kitchen . The bedroom up on the platform was lovely although a bit difficult to get to up the steep ladder. The bathroom up there was amazing. Just best used by the younger fitter adults . Had fun feeding the donkeys and watching the others use the zip line. Information available for local walks which was lovely and was recommend where to go for a beach day where it would not be so crowded. All in all had a lovely few days break there .

We had the most wonderful stay at Alice and Alan's cozy cowshed! The space was incredibly warm and inviting, providing a perfect retreat for both of us. Alice and Alan were exceptional hosts, always available to offer assistance and making sure we had everything we needed. They even allowed us to use their beautiful garden, which was such a lovely bonus. One of the highlights was when Alice and Alan kindly offered to drop us into town, saving us the hassle of getting a taxi. They also gave us great recommendations for cabs to get home later on. The stay was extremely nice, and we absolutely loved every moment. We would 100% go back and highly recommend this wonderful spot to anyone looking for a cozy, relaxing getaway!

My 5 year old daughter and I spent a night here and it was absolutely blissful. She woke up and immediately wanted to see the lambs and spend time with a dog wandering around. We will be back as both she and I enjoyed it so much. Charlotte was so kind and even gave me some toothpaste I'd forgotten. Book if you can!

We had a lovely weekend stay in Sarah and Marks beautiful property to celebrate a friends significant birthday. The house was one of the best air bnb's we have ever stayed in. Everything we could have wanted or wished for was there. The house is beautifully decorated, supremely comfortable, cosy and welcoming. It is situated in a quiet location with far reaching Sussex countryside views. We were warmly welcomed by Mark and Sarah who were around should you need anything but not intrusive. We can't thank them enough for having us to stay into their stunning home, everything was just perfect. Thank you also for the generous gifts of wine, eggs, birthday cake with candles, local jam, milk and the happy birthday banner, all of which were much appreciated. Thank you so much.

If your debating booking don’t! Just get booking. Jane’s place is even better than the pictures, if you’ve got children it is so well equipped. We were lucky to get good weather and make use of the large outdoor area. Will definitely be back

This little cabin was the highlight of my month, the area was absolutely gorgeous felt very secluded but was still able to order uber eats and the closest pub was only about a 5 minute drive. the view was beautiful, the directions and instructions from Matthew was very helpful, going into extreme detail including maps of where a perfect walk would be. This place felt like the perfect getaway!

We had an amazing stay at the Olive Pod in April 2025. I booked the pod as the perfect place to propose back to my fiancée. It was secluded and private and home to beautiful horses which we said hello to and chickens (we had eggs provided). It was a perfect peaceful break away from busy London. It is also in an ideal location, only 10 minutes away from Shere (where we spent the day on Sunday). Charlotte, our host, was so helpful when I arrived - offering to help me with all my bags and decorations, and even offered to help set up the perfect scene for my proposal! Any questions, she was quick to respond and offer help. And she provided clear guides (with videos) on how everything worked! She was even kind enough to pre-heat the log burner bath outside prior to our arrival. The pod is beyond beautiful and very picturesque! And Charlotte provided everything we needed to keep warm through the night. The projector is also a nice little touch. We will definitely be back!

Could not fault this place at all! It was the perfect romantic getaway, me and my partner stayed for the night for his birthday and Tracy kindly decorated with balloons and a birthday banner which was so lovely, the hot tub was to die for, the view was amazing, the area was so peaceful and quiet, the room was so nice and cosy especially at night time, we had everything we needed right there. Will definitely be going back 🥰🥰

We had a perfect weekend stay whilst attending a wedding at Cliffe Church and Cooling Castle. The accommodation was a 5 minute walk to the church and 5 minute drive to Cooling Castle, which was extremely convenient with two small children. The accommodation was beautiful, surprisingly spacious and clean. The parking facilities were great and the accommodation was very easy to find. We would definitely stay again when visiting the local area. Thanks Gabrielle 😊

A wonderful place. Chris was very helpful and knowledgeable. Spa facilities were a great way to relax at the end of a day exploring, or a great start to the morning. The kitchen had everything that was needed. The gardens were beautiful. We had a lovely sea view from the balcony, the sunrise was spectacular. Many thanks Chris for a peaceful stay, just what we needed.

This is a lovely place to stay. The cabin is clean, well equipped and spacious. We all enjoyed relaxing by the wood fire. Communication with Sarissa and check-in was straightforward. We appreciated the folder full of information about the local area and things to do/places to eat.

We had such a peaceful and restful time at the Waggoners. And even more importantly, so did our anxious dog. She immediately settled in and spent all of her time relaxing on the grass watching TV (the sheep, pheasants and occasionally deer!). We stay in 4/5 places like this a year, and by far this was the fastest place she settled. We came via public transport, easy to get to either via taxi (lots of dog friendly ones in Rye) or by bus from Rye. Rye is a fabulously dog friendly town, and it's also easy to get to Camber Sands. Other dog notes: Bridget was proactive letting us know there are sheep just out front (electric fence in between) and there was occasionally a tractor driving past to get to the next field. This wasn't a problem as you could hear them coming with plenty of time, but just to be mindful of when the dogs are outside. We had everything we needed and could really just switch off which is exactly why we came. Absolutely loved it and will be back!

We had a lovely stay here - it's a magical, peaceful location and Vivienne was an excellent host. Also loved all the delicious things she supplied for breakfast. Highly recommend staying here for a relaxing trip to the countryside.

What an amazing spot. We had the best trip away and the hosts were so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back and would recommend this spot to anyone who needs a breather and some downtime. The hut is superbly well built and the indoor pool, jacuzzi, tennis court, table tennis and other amenities make you feel like you’re in a film!
