Living Areas This delightful cottage boasts charming details and original hardwood flooring. An open dining room and living room are perfect for sharing a meal or playing a board game. A spacious kitchen is stocked with all the essentials for cooking a delicious breakfast before heading out for shopping downtown, a hike at Bass Lake or a ride on Tweetsie the train. Bedrooms & Bath Step into a restful retreat in the large master bedroom. Designed with relaxation in mind, cozy up under a blanket in the reading nook or take an afternoon nap in the plush king-size bed with a luxurious memory-foam mattress. With its large size, easily fit a crib (there’s one onsite) or air mattress right in the room. Our queen bedroom is not only stylish but comfortable. The nearby guest bath features custom wall art with a double vanity, bathtub and shower. Outdoor Spaces The newly renovated front porch of this house is made for fun and relaxation! In the afternoon, take the kids across the street to the incredible Blowing Rock Elementary playground. In the evenings, retreat to the front porch to reflect on your day in the comfortable outdoor furniture and enjoy a beer while listening to music on the lawn (from May to October). A small but inviting front yard is surrounded by a hedge for privacy. Sit under the apple tree in a double Adirondack lounger to maximize your time away or fire up the on-site propane grill for a cookout. Extra Amenities & Details Guest amenities include a washer/dryer, crib and high chair, parking for one car at the main house with access to more parking by request. Enjoy a ping-pong tournament or shuffleboard game in the garage game room. Access to the entire home including the garage/game room. Owners live nearby and are available quickly if needed. The home is located in downtown Blowing Rock—one of Southern Living's favorite small towns. Leave your car keys behind and enjoy an easy walk to cute shops, delicious restaurants, and public parks. Leave your keys in the car as everything in The Village is walkable from The Laurel House.

Fully renovated home with designer's touch! Big windows gives plenty of sunlight and an incredible mountain view. Across from Sugar mountain ski resort, a few minutes to shops, restaurants and Banner Elk downtown, this home is a combination of mountain life with convenience! Land of OZ, Zipline, snow tube, winery, Grandfather Mountain, Boone, Blowing Rock are all within close proximity. This rental is for downstairs only. You have a choice to rent the whole building if it is a large party.

LOCATION...Nestled in the heart of DOWNTOWN BOONE! Discover a cozy family getaway or couples retreat at the Appalachian House, a nice 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom vacation rental house. The house is just a few minute’s walk from Appalachian State University and downtown restaurants, shops, and entertainment. This home sleeps 4 and features new slate floors and bright colors throughout the living space. Pets are allowed with additional $50 fee per pup. Text the day before check-in for keycode!

Panoramic, Private Mountain Views near Grandfather

The best mountain views in the area! Enjoy privacy and 180 degree southern views nestled inside Pisgah National Forest above 4000 feet. This home is 10 minutes from Grandfather mountain, and convenient to Sugar Mountain/Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing Rock. If you enjoy the quiet, peaceful serenity of the mountains this is the house for you. Please note there is a 1/4 mile steep decent on an unpaved road to our house and a 4WD or AWD vehicle is strongly recommended.
