Quarterdeck - Camden Windward House

The Quarterdeck is a deluxe, 2nd floor king room, with a large private deck and separate entrance from the main Windward House Inn. Located in the back of the property, this very private room boasts floor to ceiling windows with an enormous deck, overlooking Mt. Battie. The high vaulted ceilings add additional natural light with a series of skylights. Other amenities include a gas fireplace, refrigerator, Keurig machine and large Samsung smart TV. The en-suite bathroom features a single person Jacuzzi tub and separate walk-in shower. In nautical terms, the quarterdeck is a raised deck behind the main mast of a sailing ship. Traditionally it was where the captain commanded his vessel and where the ship’s military colors were kept. This led to its use as the main ceremonial and reception area. My home is located in a small town on a dirt road and very private. The rt 1 coast/ocean is about 25 minutes away and offers lighthouses, lobster and Maine hospitality. This guest room has a full size bed that is stacked with pillows and an antique quilt, dresser and closet space. The bathroom boasts of a shower as well as a claw foot bathtub should you wish to lay back and relax. There is a television, and an air conditioner in the warmer months as well as a ceiling fan as an alternative.

On the ridge with views to the mountains, Muzzy Ridge Farm offers a relaxing respite. Three comfortable rooms available (Two queens, one twin) with a 1930's inspired dairy kitchen and a wood burning cook stove. The newly constructed rooms are annexed to the sheep barn with its thirty, friendly four-legged inhabitants. This room has two twin beds and shares a bathroom down the hall with the Shepard's Room. A kitchen, shared with all three rooms, is available downstairs.
