A tastefully renovated 1 bedroom, fully self -contained Victorian cottage set in 3.5 acres of tranquil, park-like rural land. The property backs onto the Kauaeranga River, a beautiful clean flowing river with an idyllic swimming hole at the end of the property. The majestic Pinnacles walking track is at the end of the road. The cottage is just 5km from the centre of Thames township; everything is nearby, including the popular Hauraki Rail Trail which is a 3.5km cycle from Bakehouse Cottage.

Enjoy them from the secluded hot tub overlooking a native bush valley complete with waterfall. Within half an hour you can be at the beautiful beaches of Mt Maunganui & Papamoa or enjoying the tourism Mecca of Rotorua A 1650 hectare all terrain playground is five minutes away, offering a range of activities. Auckland is a 2.5 hour drive away or a 30 minute flight.

Our piece of paradise is situated on the edge of the water in the Athenree Village (north end of the Tauranga harbour). The modern upstairs apartment is yours exclusively. From here you can: watch the sunrise over the water; enjoy the ever-changing view of the tide; watch the varied and rich bird life; or relax while reading or playing games from our library. Feel more energetic? Walk to the surf beach; visit the hot pools or take a walk on the water edge. We follow AirBnB cleaning protocols.

Our cute Bach is available for those looking for a break away from the hustle and bustle of busy life. Put the deck chairs out, relax on the decks and watch the world go by, or lace up your shoes & enjoy the many walks around the area. Shops 200m down the road, beach within throwing distance, your options are endless. Front room has a queen bed, the other has two singles and a double bunk with a single over it. Additional warm shower out the back to clean off the salt and sand is a real asset

Created by an artist & interior designer, this bespoke holiday hideaway, the Barn at Bowentown, is perfect for a romantic getaway. Every little detail has been thought of - luxury bed linens and complimentary robes, TVs in both lounge and bedroom, two person bath and full kitchen. Nestled into a private corner of reserve a short walk to both Waihi Beach and Anzac Bay, the Barn is surrounded by trees and has its own private entrance and courtyard with lounging chairs, outdoor shower & BBQ.

Kensington luxury hideaway

A complete makeover turns the Old Kensington Store into a great place to come to after a busy day or for a romantic getaway. Opening onto a private courtyard with birdbath and fishpond this fully equipped dwelling has all new appliances, chiropractic mattress with optional Memory foam pillows in a romantic queen bedroom. The second Victorian themed bedroom has two single beds with quality linen. A fifth person can use the daybed in the living area, also with a very comfy mattress.

The North End Studio

The North End Studio is a purpose built studio unit, with a separate entrance along a private boardwalk. Well thought out and with some homely touches it has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The kitchenette is equipped with a 2 burner induction cooktop, microwave, grill press and BBQ, perfect for self catering. The studio has extensive wrap around decking for al fresco dining, surrounded by beautiful native gardens, perfect for that relaxing afternoon drink.

Our whimsical cottage is perched near the top of the tranquil Waitawheta Valley at the gateway into the Northern Kaimai Ranges. Enjoy river swimming and hiking right from the property or just relax on the deck and enjoy the beauty of the valley. 5 minute drive to the Hauraki Rail Trail and the award-winning Falls Retreat restaurant. 10 minutes drive into the heart of the Karangahake Gorge and Waihi and 15 minutes through to Paeroa or out to Waihi Beach.

Kipling Cottage

Location, location, location! A hop, skip and jump to Waihi Beach's famous Flat White cafe. II's a little winner - almost brand new with all the comforts in a home away from home. There are two bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other a double, large bathroom, and a kitchen with all amenities. It's a short walk to the shops, hotel and RSA....and so close to the beach! BBQ available plus all other amenities to make for a relaxing stay!

Homewood Cottage

Homewood cottage is situated in a private garden behind the main homestead “Homewood”. Homewood was built in 1876 by Dr Thomas Fletcher and was the original farm house in the area. The cottage was built in the early 1900s when the property was owned by George Alley a well known philanthropist. Guests can enjoy the private lawn and garden around the cottage, and wander down the hedgerow to the pond overlooking the Tauranga harbour.
