La Casa di Tufo: Room "Serancia"

LA CASA DI TUFO is a unique medieval palazzo that was built in the 5th century where you can experience the atmosphere of the past yet have all the modern comforts of today. Each room has marvelous views of a private garden and of the medieval part of town. There is a radio in every room as well as private bath with massaging showers and foot massage. There are stone arches, original wooden ceilings and other medieval architectural elements as well as TV and exceptional WIFI access in the living room. The breakfast is a mix of Italian (pastry and cappuccino) and continental (bread, cheese, yogurt, granola, and fruit). The house is in the center of Orvieto within a few minutes walking distance to all the famous sights, including the grand Duomo (cathedral) with its famous frescoes of Signorelli, multiple museums, the underground caves, monuments, Etruscan ruins, the famous well of St. Patrick (Pozzo di San Patrizio) as well as many others. If you like archeological places we can organize a guided tour to some Etruscan cemeteries or to the caves of the famous “Fanum Voltumnae,” the most important spiritual Etruscan place, which was discovered in Orvieto after excavations of more than 50 years. If you want to relax after a morning of walking you can go to the hot water springs in the surrounding countryside of Orvieto (35 minutes by car). After that we can recommend to you a typical local restaurant where you can eat pasta like your grandmother used to make. We can also book a guided tour to a local Umbrian vineyard for you to enjoy wine tastings. Within Orvieto’s historic center there are many charming intimate restaurants where you can experience delicious authentic Umbrian cuisine which often includes truffles, porcini mushrooms, fresh vegetables, new olive oil and a terrific selection of wines from Umbria and Tuscany. The owner of LA CASA DI TUFO has a truffle dog and if you want she can show you the dog finding truffles in the woods. If you completely fall in love with Italy and want to stay for a longer visit, you can also learn Italian cooking at a nearby cooking school.

A small apartment consisting of 2 rooms with a bathroom and a kitchenette in the heart of the historic center of Civitavecchia. 350 meters from the train station and less than 300 meters from the entrance of the port Varco Fortezza, where you will find free shuttles that will take you to the departure docks. Since we are right in the center, in the evening you might hear noises from the street of people going out to dinner in the restaurants and enjoying the mild climate of this seaside town.

Il Casolare (CIN IT058013C1DIOCCTZJ) è un bed and breakfast ed è situato in una posizione strategica a pochi passi dal centro storico del paese e dal famoso Castello Orsini Odescalchi e a circa 250 mt dalla stazione ferroviaria con treni ogni 30 minuti per Roma ed ogni ora per la città di Viterbo. Dal 1° luglio 2019 è in vigore la tassa di soggiorno. La tariffa è di 1 euro a persona al giorno per un massimo di 5 euro a persona. Sanificazione degli ambienti del B&B come da norme sanitarie.

B&B ricavato in un appartenente risalente ai primi dell'ottocento, situato nei pressi del Centro Storico, e Museo Nazionale. Adiacente alle mura medievali e a ridosso del torrione di Matilde di Canossa. Il mio alloggio è adatto a coppie e a chi viaggia per lavoro, per una fuga dal caos cittadino o per un weekend al mare. Il b&b è composto da due camere piccole ma accoglienti troverete un angolo cottura comune adibito al solo uso della prima colazione. Qui la più piccola delle due.

Das Landhaus wurde von einer sehr bekannten italienischen Architektin "wieder aufgebaut" (der Ursprung des Anwesens ist ein altes Bauernhaus). Es ist ein spezielles Haus, gemacht mit viel Liebe zum Detail, Verwendung von alten Materialien, natürlichen Baustoffen und doch mit allem Komfort sowie der richtigen Menge an Modernität.

Formaggi, ortaggi, carne, marmellate, olio e pane, tutti di nostra produzione biologica possono essere degustati su prenotazione. A disposizione degli ospiti un ampio giardino, un frutteto, la stalla dove visitare le mucche e i vitelli, e volendo si può assistere alla lavorazione del formaggio.
