We spent several weeks at Lisa’s place and loved every moment. Lisa was super communicative and always on hand if we had a question. We liked being situated in Melville which is easily walkable and has lots of unique places to visit, especially the cafes on 7th street, 27 Boxes and morning walks up on the Koppies which are a must if staying in the area. Thanks again Lisa for being a great host, we hope to stay again!

A beautiful home, lots of space and safe. This place is great for bigger families. The fire place is a great addition which set a relaxing, warm atmosphere as the fire crackled away.

We felt right at home during our stay - the space was warm, beautifully set up, and had everything we needed, including more than enough blankets to keep us cozy. It was a pleasure staying at Charmaine’s. The house is spacious, very well equipped and comfortable - a real home away from home. The garden was also a welcome distraction for the kids. What can I say?! An incredible spot to spend a few peaceful days in the city. it felt like a home away from home the second we walked through the door. Our hosts were fantastic and made us and our pups feel welcome the entire time we were there. The pool was a delight, and the view over Sandton was glorious. I can't recommend Alex & Gideon, or their cottage, highly enough.

Such a thoughtfully organized home. Much thought has gone in to the added extras. So easy to stay, right down to reusable shopping bags for guests to use. I am couldn't have been more thoughtful and concerned about our comfort during unscheduled sudden load shedding. The place is central and surprisingly peaceful right in the middle of Sandton. Will definitely return.

Kim was really great and friendly. She communicated very well during my stay and was helpful. The cottage was clean and had a beautiful touch of furniture that was unique. The cottage is very spacious and has all the amenities you require to stay. Thank you so much Kim for a lovely stay.

Great stop over stay! will stay there again

The space has everything one needs for self catering and it is pet friendly with a beautifully big garden for your pets to explore! It’s also walking distance from town and is very close to one or two hiking trail entrances! I loved my stay and look forward to booking again! Clarens itself is very stunning and stays like this really highlight that for me! Definitely worth it if you are alone, a couple or two or three friends wanting a safe, comfortable space while you aren’t out exploring the town!

Wonderful getaway! Great walks to the dams. Lots of farm animals and super peaceful.

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend on Gert’s farm. Die Kliphuis is a beautiful original stone cottage with lots of character and charm. It is well furnished with comfortable beds, linen and all the amenities for self catering. It is set within beautiful peaceful nature and only a 6min drive into Parys with plenty of restaurants and quaint shops. Our favourite part was to sit around the fire in the stone Boma and braai every night. Gert gave us a warm welcoming on arrival, information on the hiking trails and a tour of the other beautiful cottages. Can definitely recommend.
