Swim, fish, take out the canoe or kayak, birdwatch, hike in nearby Savage Gulf or Fall Creek Falls. Go to Chattanooga, take in the sights and come back for an evening by the outdoor fire ring, or inside fireplace. Pick apples at the local orchard or buy Amish goods from the local farms. Welcome to Sunrise Mt. Cabin is located on top of the Cumberland Plateau with a great view of the valley check out our 2 other cabins Patriot's Retreat & Sunrise Mtn Treeshouse. The cabin has approximately 1400 square feet and is fully furnished with full kitchen and more. Hiking trails and fishing pond only a short walk away. Several major state parks with hikes within a few miles of the cabin. The cabin has fiber optic WiFi which is not shared. Pet cats not allowed; we are allergic.

It is 13 miles from The Caverns concert venue (about a 20 minute drive). The cabin is close to Sewanee, which has many hiking trails and is home to The University of the South (about 7 miles from our cabin/ a 16 minute drive.) Other local hiking and recreation options include the South Cumberland State Park and Tims Ford State Park.

If you want other things to do, we are located with one hour of Rock City, Ruby Falls, the Chattanooga Aquarium and many other attractions. We also have many state parks, waterfalls, mountain views and swimming attractions close.

Built originally in the 1870's, the restored Moonshine Runners Cabin sits tucked right near downtown Tracy City with easy access to Fiery Gizzard, Dutch Maid Bakery, and the Grundy County Historical Society. The rustic cabin is surrounded by shady trees and native bushes with a waterfall and pond under construction! 50 yards away is the mountain goat trail. Access for biking and walking.
