Deep in the West River Valley region of Windham County, Lawrence Cottage is in a gorgeous and uncluttered setting upon Windham Hill. If you long for solitude, serenity and beauty, we have the perfect escape for you. We are convenient to all local amenities and activities and an easy drive from Boston or New York. We are near Townshend, Jamaica and Lowell Lake State Parks, Magic Mountain, Mount Snow and Stratton Mountain Resorts. This is Vermont--of course we welcome people of all backgrounds.

Monadnock Sunrise Forest Hideaway

Enjoy a converted camper as your private getaway in Southern VT. Less than 10 min to downtown Brattleboro, yet nestled in the woods for a quiet retreat. Full galley kitchen and living/lounge area. Wood stove for primary heating (electric backup for not so cold days). Outdoor spaces include a fire pit, deck, pool table, hot outdoor shower, outhouse (composting toilet), and forest for galavanting. The place is a perfect fit for two adults (queen bed) and one kid (63" long fold down couch).

Great restaurants and shopping nearby. Hanover and Norwich VT 20 mins. Please note not handicapped accesible.

It is the perfect place to relax & enjoy a country setting with views of the Green Mountains in every direction. We have added a new private deck at the Schoolhouse property, with a hot tub & panoramic barrel sauna. Come to unwind, cook, & enjoy a quintessential Vermont experience on our 250 acre property.

The Architect's Cabin, on 10 Secluded Acres

Nestled on a rise in a woodland clearing is this intriguing cubist design reminiscent of Post and Beam ambiance. Stone and wood materials from the property have been assimilated into intriguing modern design features throughout. Walls of windows share the tranquil and private outdoor setting with the indoor livings areas. We only accept Instant Bookings, which require a verified account and positive host reviews. There is no Air Conditioning.

Comfy and Cozy House on 67 acres

67 acre of wilderness to explore, a calm and relaxed getaway. Bright, spacious main room and open kitchen with wood stove is enclosed by the large porch which looks over the Vermont woodlands. Right off of the large entryway, you'll find the sweeping main bedroom equipped with an open soaking tub, and a second wood stove, along with a separate entrance. Finally, there is a separate bedroom downstairs with its own bathroom (off of garage).

Close to Mount Snow, Lake Whitingham, Lake Raponda, and only 25 minutes to Brattleboro the adventures are endless! Stay at our relaxing, mid-century retreat! The house was built in the 60s but has modern amenities. A 4-wheel-drive vehicle is recommended. Our house is conveniently located 7 miles from Stratton and 12 miles from the outlets/restaurants in Manchester. Floor to ceiling windows provide a stunning view of the property. Please note, the house has a non-working fireplace.
