A short drive to Providence, about a half hour drive to Newport, and 8 miles to Roger Williams University, makes your stay fairly close to the best RI has to offer. Somerset's a small town surrounded by big attractions. It's 18 miles from Providence, 25 miles from Newport, 40 miles from Cape Cod, and 50 miles from Boston.
