This secluded waterfront tiny cabin (440 sq. ft.) is located on 220 acres of wilderness adjoining the 36,000+ acre Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge with over a mile of waterfront on the Pearl River Canal. Miles of walking trails. No neighbors, no traffic. Canoes and kayaks are included with your stay. 600 blueberry bushes providing fresh berries from mid May to July. The deer start having fawns at the same time. Pontoon boat and golf cart available to rent. Come recharge your battery.

Take the two bikes provided three blocks to the start of the Tammany Trace - 40 mile paved bike trail through Abita Springs, Mandeville and Fontainebleau State Park. The Cottage is quiet & cozy, with new kitchen and bathroom. Outside you can relax in the courtyard or play bartender in our new Irish Pub. For vacation or business, weddings, birthdays, weekends away, you can walk to our river side parks, concerts, festivals, parades, dining & shopping.

Covington Cottage

Our Guest House sits behind our historic home in a lovely residential neighborhood. It is in walking distance to our historic downtown with many galleries, shops, and restaurants. We are just 40 minutes from New Orleans over the the Causeway Bridge. Our Guest House is done with a New Orleans feel. We have a three day minimum stay. We accept pets with prior approval. The guesthouse is not appropriate for infants or young children. We do have friendly pets on the property.
