Chambls Shack

Chambls Shack provides wanderers with a slow stay, overlooking the sandy beach at Verona Sands. Chambls is a genuine shack experience, complete with 1970’s kitchen, open fireplace and light shades. Plenty of wobbly bits and sloping floors, but we’re watertight, warm and a whole load of fun. Situated 1 hour from Hobart via Huon or Channel, Chambls welcomes travellers who want to truly relax and revisit the 70’s in luxe linens, open fire and a bottle of red. Or bring the kids and hit the beach.

Using the shack as your base, no matter which direction you choose to venture, there’s an array of experiences and activities to explore, 20 min to Hobart Airport, 40 min to Hobart, gateway to Richmond, East Coast, Port Arthur and the Tasman Peninsula. Ideally located on the point, Tupelo gives you a stunning, ever-changing perspective of the SE coast. A house for all seasons, watch the storms roll across the bay and bask in the sunny rays as it rises and sets over the water, uninterrupted by this unique position on the point. At the right time of year, sit back and watch the whales, dolphins, and migratory birds on their journeys as you soak up the scenery. Beachfront Studio on Great Oyster Bay

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature. Listen to the ocean and the birds and enjoy glimpses of the magnificent sunrise and sunset across the bay to Freycinet and Schouten Island. We live next door in a new house, but the Studio has been positioned to ensure your privacy. You have your own beachfront spot to relax on a deckchair. Bruny Boathouse

The Bruny Boathouse is nestled on the waterfront with panoramic views across d'Entrecasteaux Channel, Satellite Island & Hartz Mountain propped up in the background. Centrally located in the township of Alonnah on the western side of Bruny Island, The Boathouse is an ideal place to base yourself for everything that Bruny has to offer. Driftwood Cottage allows you to unwind amongst the sand dunes at this unique and tranquil getaway. A mere stroll from beautiful and deserted Nine Mile Beach, and moments from Moulting Lagoon. Walk along the beach, swim or fish in the bay or lagoon, or simply relax at our peaceful home. With Swansea just ten minutes away, local vineyards aplenty and Freycinet National Park up the coast, staying longer to explore will only enhance your experience at Driftwood.

Escape to Driftwood, an ocean front cabin, right on the banks of the sea. Home to the globally renowned Chef Sarah Glover, this cabin is a chef’s dream, renovated to fulfil each and every one of your cooking aspirations. Cast a fishing line out the front, go diving for scallops, light the fire pit and create recipes from WILD cookbook in the place that many of the recipes were first thought up!

Aerie Retreat

AERIE retreat. A private designer apartment in the bush by the water. Walk down to the very private Wilderness Deck for exclusive use of the Timber Hot Tub, Sauna and fire pit. Access to the waterfront marine reserve is also exclusively available for our guests. A brilliant spot to stay summer or winter. Watch the winter full moon rise over the ocean from the hot tub and sauna.
