We had a lovely stay in Tynemouth, right next to the beach, great space for the kids to play in the back garden. The house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Will stay again for sure.

Perfect cottage in a brilliant location. Liz kept contact throughout and sadly as we were out and about did not get to meet her in person - next time! The cottage was spot on and Liz provided a cot and high chair for our 1 year old. If you like peace and quiet and don’t mind driving to the shops I cannot recommend Miss Rankin’s Cottage highly enough. We wanted to meet up with friends on neighbouring farms and having such a lovely space to return to was perfect. Thank you Liz.

Words cannot describe how amazing Simone is and her gorgeous retreat. I took my Dad away for a little trip away as he is rather poorly and the original place I had booked was appalling! So bad I refused to stay. Thinking I'd have to take my Dad back home as finding somewhere suitable for his needs is slim picking, never mind on an August Friday night at 6pm, last weekend of the summer holidays. Nevertheless, after refusing to give up I found this gem, both in Simone and her retreat. Just what we needed . Simone went above and beyond from the second I placed the booking, she rang me straight away, said she would met us there, she had the retreat warming through for us, lights on and made us feel absolutely at home. So much so I had to give her a hug. The whole experience from start to finish was 10 star. The place is beautiful, the views are outstanding, area is perfect. My Dad is dying to go back already. And I can't wait to take him. See you soon x

This was a beautiful place to stay, very peaceful, clean and tidy. The view from the hot tub was lovely. We felt very lucky to find this place for a single night stay as it seems you usually have to book multiple nights. We often grab the chance at a night away whenever we can as parents of a young family so we will be keeping our eyes peeled to see if any further 1 night availability appears in future as we would definitely return. Lovely location and cabin looks over small lake/pond with plenty wildlife. Inside is very clean and spacious. The deck and hot tub were great for sitting outside watching the wildlife or to chill. Do recommend having a walk along to Eshott Airfield where there is a small cafe to watch the small & vintage planes. The pub/restaurant on site is fine for a bite to eat/drink. It has a small shop for essentials and activities for kids etc. A1 provides for quick access to other areas for day trips. Would stay again :)

We've stayed there a couple of times now as its a handy stop off between the Highlands and Hampshire. Its always met our needs and never let us down.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Michael as he was away but we did meet the lovely Carol who was there on our arrival. We had a brilliant 2nt stay in the Partridge Hut. It was exactly the same as the photos. A comfortable bed and large powerful shower. It had everything you needed for such a compact space. We were fortunate with the weather and were able to use the outdoor seating and even got the fire pit going on the 1 nt. It was lovely to wake up to the birdsong and the little bunnies hopping around. We ate at the Milecastle Inn which was recommended by Carol and was spot on and then had fish and chips at the Ocean takeaway in Haltwhistle the last nt. Hadrians Wall is just on your doorstep and the Lanercost Priory which is in walking distance from the hut. A great tearoom and gift shop there too. If you’re after a quiet and relaxing time, Michael’s place is perfect and we will definitely return.

We had a fantastic stay at The Sea House! The house was spacious, really nicely decorated and furnished and was spotless. The location was ideal, close to all the local amenities. Really nice touches on arrival such as biscuits and fudge stood out. Our party were two couples with two four-year-olds and both the house and location were perfect. Host was very helpful and great at communicating. Highly recommended host and house - we will be returning!
