The beautiful family-run farm sits atop its own hill, overlooking the Merse river valley. The estate is spread over two thousand acres of land covering fairy tale woodlands, fantastic cypress avenues, holm oak and cork oak trees, fields of wheat, barley, sunflowers and maze, and groves of 3,000 olive trees from which a delicious DOP extra virgin olive oil is made. Each farmhouse has been renovated in great detail, the style, décor and charm of Montestigliano make it a special and unique destination for a wonderful, enjoyable and most importantly memorable holiday. The farm offers traditional Tuscan cooking classes and olive oil tastings, starlit dinners, pizza feasts and in-house private catering or massage services. In keeping with the typical farmhouse layout, the living quarters are located on the upper floor of the building, as the lower spaces were originally used as storerooms, animal enclosures or wine cellars. Casa Virginia 2 is accessed via an external stone staircase that leads to a cosy, shared, covered south-facing balcony complete with wicker furniture, perfect for relaxing cocktails with views of the family’s olive groves, cypress avenues and surrounding woodlands basked by the late afternoon sun. The apartment shares a large open garden with furnished vine-covered eating area and is located at the centre of the hamlet, just a few metres from both swimming pools. It has a light and airy living/dining room and fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and bathroom with shower.
