This place is pure magic. From the moment we booked, Orion and his family made us feel so welcome - sending a thoughtful list of local recommendations that truly shaped our experience (don’t skip them!). The home itself is a masterpiece. It’s more than just a place to stay—it’s a work of art, filled with beauty, intention, and warmth. We woke up every morning to breathtaking sunrises and the songs of visiting birds. Some days we’d find little surprises waiting outside - like a fresh watermelon or a child handing us a flower. These small gestures meant so much. We also quickly fell in love with the dogs, and it was hard to say goodbye to them. The best dogs ever. Orion also provided us a fantastic mezcal tasting, sharing his deep knowledge, and he also taught us how to make an incredible salsa from scratch. We look forward to make it on our own every week as soon as we are home again (it truly was a next level salsa). It’s hard to describe just how special this place is - go visit!

This was our second stay at this villa and won’t be our last. The villa is stunning and the view is amazing. The hosts were awesome to deal with. I can’t recommend this place and hosts enough. Gracias

Adorei a minha estadia em Huatulco, a casa é confortável e de acordo com as fotos e descrição. A cama é muito confortável e a roupa de cama estava impecável, me senti em casa, além da região que está próximo ao centro e ao comércio da região. Voltaria a me hospedar nesta casa com certeza!

We really enjoyed our time at Gretel's place. The space is great for a group or family with three private bedrooms and bathrooms. As well as great common space in the kitchen, pool area and on the rooftop. We did not realize how vital the pool was until we would venture out on hot days to walk around the area. The location was perfect as it was enough off the main strip to avoid the noise but close enough to be able to walk to the action and even to neighboring Mazunta. The host was very helpful with information about the house and area before we arrived and responding quickly to our questions. The only challenge we had was to maneuver in and out of the garage but we managed and the host gave us some alternative options if needed.

The house is absolutely stunning and true to the description. Our group loves to cook, so we were very happy with the well-stocked kitchen and beautiful dining areas. We loved lounging by the pool — it’s extremely relaxing. This place is probably best suited for those that want to chill out and enjoy the house itself or those who have hired a car. It’s situated close to the local town and beach (up a very steep hill), but you have to taxi to Zipolite or Mazunte for more action, which adds up over a few days. But all in all a wonderful place to stay and great value for money.

Hemos pasado un muy buena experiencia en la casa. Diana muy atenta y sobre todo Agustín quién siempre estuvo al pendiente de que estuviéramos cómodos y que la casa estuviera al 100!

We were a group of 6 friends who stayed here for a few nights, and our only regret is that we didn’t book for longer. The place is truly incredible: comfortable, spacious, stylish, and unique, all while being quiet and just a short walk from the beach. Amalia is the kindest and most amazing. She made us feel completely at home with her warmth and hospitality, and her support was truly special. On top of that, she’s an incredible cook, preparing any meal we wanted with the freshest ingredients, including a mix of traditional Mexican food, fish and even a barbecue night. Jerome was a fantastic host. Super hands-on and always ready with excellent recommendations for beaches and activities, making sure we got the best experience possible. A huge thank you to Jerome and Amalia.

La vista de Casa Tehuana fue lo mejor de todo, facil acceso y muy buena atención de las cocineras. Habitaciones amplias y zonas de convivencia bien distribuidas. Sin duda regresariamos en familia. Alicia fue una excelente host atenta en la comunicación antes y durante nuestra estancia.

Un lugar hermoso para desconectarte y descansar, los empleados muy atentos y amables, te brindan apoyo con todo lo que necesites. Durante mi estancia llovió muy fuerte y se fue la luz en la localidad, siempre nos apoyaron para mantener fresco el medicamento de mi mamá y para que tuviéramos iluminación. Definitivamente regresaría, la estancia es cómoda y hermosa.

Stunning location with breathtaking view, high-speed internet (not easy to find around there), delicious vegan cuisine, Infiniti pool with mesmerizing vista, modern room infused with the captivating essence of the Oaxaca’s culture. Not to mention its central between downtown Huatulco and downtown Pochutla so shopping is easy and surrounded by so many beautiful beaches.

Recomiendo ampliamente este alojamiento. Tuvimos una excelente experiencia. Está en una zona tranquila pero cerca de lugares para comer y de la playa (en carro o taxi) El anfitrión fue muy amable y respondía rápido a todas nuestras preguntas. Otra de las cosas que nos encantó es que es Pet friendly. Definitivamente nos volveríamos a hospedar aquí.

Un excelente lugar. El departamentos está muy bonito, las cama y el sofá muy cómodos, y muy cuidado y limpio todo. La ubicación está en frente de la bahía de Tangolunda, la cual no tiene tanta afluencia de gente, lo cual es bastante agradable. Está ubicado a unos 10 minutos de La Crucecita donde se puede hacer compras. El lugar es muy tranquilo. Maya, fue muy amable y comunicativa en el proceso. El check-in y check-out fue rápido y sencillo. Una muy buena experiencia, sin duda regresaría.

Peaceful and lovely stay. Loved the rooftop pool and watching the sunset from there. Clean and accurate place, easy check-in, and super walkable area to lots of great restaurants. Air conditioning was awesome and the beds and couch was really comfortable. We had ear plugs to help but there are many neighborhood dogs that are very loud.

Sinceramente para nosotros superó nuestras expectativas, el búngalo donde nos quedamos era el no. 5 y tenía todo lo necesario, una cama cómoda, el baño de tamaño mediano, limpio con jabón, shampoo y varias toallas, la cocina también en mi opinión cuenta con todo para una estancia cómoda, tazas, vasos, estufa, microondas, estufa, un refrigerador grande a nuestro parecer bien, en el mismo bungaló encontramos una sombrilla para la playa y una silla también para la playa la cual nos fue muy útil. La playa semiprivada nos recomendaron que no es para nadar y así lo hicimos por seguridad solo si es importante que el guardia de la entrada te indique por dónde acceder a la playa, en 4 horas que estuvimos quizá llegaron unas 5 personas más, la verdad eso está increíble. Con respecto a la zona de la alberca en el bungalo está muy agradable, y también la encontramos quizá con 2 personas, en la tarde noche era exquisita el agua y la vista. Insisto en que es un lugar muy tranquilo.

Nuestra estacia fue increíble, fue un viaje familiar, llevabamos una perrita, nos gusta caminar, el centro esta a 15 min y toda la zona en general es tranquila, por la mañana se escuchan los camiones pero es esperado ya que está cerca de avenidas principales, las amenidades nos gustaron mucho. Nos sentimos súper agusto.

Nos hospedamos por una semana en compañía de nuestras perritas, hicimos home office los primeros 3 días de semana santa y pudimos trabajar sin ningún inconveniente. La casa estaba a menos de 10 minutos caminando a la playa así que aprovechábamos para caminar por las mañanas y trabajar en el día. La casa estuvo muy a gusto para pasar los días. Sólo preparábamos el desayuno en casa y comíamos y cenábamos fuera, tiene lo básico para poder cocinar algo sencillo pero quizá para algún platillo más elaborado no sé podría. Sin duda regresaríamos a pasar unas vacaciones y/o días de home office a esta casa.

A wonderful cabaña right by the beach for anyone looking forward to an open-air nature-first retreat on the Oaxaca coast. A few seconds from the beach for a morning walk or a quick dip (note: due to currents + swells a lot of the beaches in this are not so swimming friendly), and a short wander into San Augustinillo for a sunbathe, brunch, or a morning boat-tour for whale + dolphin watching. Mario is an amazing host, always taking care of our needs, refilling our drinking water, checking in on us and helping us book a taxi. We slept downstairs with the mosquito net but there is also a lockable mezzanine room with space for another 3 to sleep. Toilet + shower situation is pretty rudimentary but no problem at all for those that enjoy a bit of outdoor living. All in all a highly recommendable beach lodging to make your home whilst in Oxacan beach paradise.

Excelente lugar para quedarse, está muy limpio y muy acogedor, no está tan cerca de las playas pero si traes coche es una excelente opción para hospedarte, además Bere siempre muy atenta con nosotros 10 de 10 en todos los aspectos

Great little apartment, everything you need and very quiet.Normal walking speed you need 10 minutes to the beach. Nothing to complain.

We had a fantastic stay here. You are in a quiet area, just outside the hustle and bustle of Mazunte. In the morning you wake up with the sound of birds. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The bathroom is newly built and is great too. Alex is a super nice host who will help you with anything. Can highly recommend this place to anyone.

Agradable el lugar y bien ubicado , pero le falta modernizarse , las televisiones eran obsoletas no se conectaban a wifi y nos se podían usar ni siquiera para YouTube consideren eso si son de los que les agrada ver plataformas digitales I simplemente TV en algún momento del día, el aire acondicionado hace mucho ruido ya están viejitos los equipos y es incómodo dormir con el ruido pero si se apaga nos e puede dormir por el calor , considérelo, todo lo demás excelente, cocina muy equipada si puede pasar una buena estancia incluso larga … solo que consideren lo anteriormente escrito

La cabaña es tal cual se muestra en las fotos, la cocina está bastante equipada y a unos cuantos pasos bajando de la cabaña hay una tiendita de abarrotes así que tuvimos todo a la mano para cocinar. El espacio donde están las camas es reducido pero para nosotros no fue problema ya que pasamos la mayor parte del tiempo en la terraza, la terraza se llevó el premio, un graaaan spot súper cómodo y con gran vista para pasar el rato. La ubicación es lo mejor, super cerca de playa mermejita, de la entrada a punta cometa y también bastante cerca de muchos cafés y tienditas. La subida a la terraza no es apta para personas con problemas de movilidad pero se especifica muy bien en la descripción. Tal vez lo único que nos pareció un poco incómodo fue el baño, es muuuy pequeño e incluso para lavarte la cara estás con el pendiente de darte un golpe peeero tampoco es un gran problema. Iyali y Jonathan suuuuper amables ambos! Definitivamente volvería a la cabaña de la iguana!
