本願寺門前町 下京区Nishi Honganji. World heritage site. A 15 minute walk.
Beautiful timber temple with an amazing view from the deck over Kyoto city. It is a wonderful experience to walk up the small streets on the way up to Kiyomizudera. It is usually very busy in autumn and in spring.
