Wonderful Italian restaurant close to waterfront. We have not had a meal here that has disappointed us. We also get takeout from here frequently. Unique and flavorful entrees, great salads and bread, awesome wood fired pizza. Great dessert place, great place for drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic)! This restaurant is on our top list of places to go. If you want dine in, highly recommend a reservation far in advance!

Riverfront park and trail is 2 blocks from the house. Has a pretty path alongside the river for walking, jogging or biking. Walking path to ymca, if you are wanting to exercise. Large playground with swings and slides for kids. Skate park. Great for families and adults.

30 min drive from the house, can also take Amtrak, an 18 min train ride. 100 percent worth it. Has a great beachfront park, and charming shops and restaurants.

Have a quiet day by the beach, take a picnic here! Enjoy the beach and climb the sandy dunes, if you like. We climbed a dune and watched the sunset over Lake Michigan. It was breathtaking!
