Locally owned, locally drunk brewery with Journeyman Distillery spirits and large brewpub menu. Sometimes, for beer to be good, it has to get evil!

Has one of the most unique lunch buffets, with little tapas or sample plates for each food choice. One of our favorites. Great food and drinks!
It's a Micro Brewery that has a lot of character and is the same owner as the Cordance Tavern and Jesus Latin Grill & Tequila Bar, so the food and experience is outstanding. It's bar food with a unique, kind-of-fancy, twist to it. They also do a Lightning Lunch and Sunday Hangover Brunch where they…
Their lunch buffet offers a small plate version of every item on their menu. (Not offered during the pandemic).
“Local ownership and local brewer (owners also have equity in Fiddlers Hearth), their beers are amazing and they serve platters of rich decadent foods like smoked meats (smoked on premise), cheeses, burgers, etc all done in a unique way that matches nothing else in South Bend. If you like IPA's you have to try the Turtle Tamer. They also lean towards being a public house, so about half the seating is at very large tables where they put groups together, so unless you have a very large group, you will probably make some friends by the time you leave. Especially if you have more than a couple of Turtle Tamers!”
“Great stores and many options for dining. Additional shopping and restaurants in Grape Road/Main Street area. ”
“This brewery is rated as one of the top 5 breweries in the state of Indiana. If not the #1 for IPAs. If you are visiting from out of town and love craft beer you would be doing yourself a disservice by not going. Families are welcome, however the food menu is small, outside of Panani Sandwiches and the occasional pop up Kichen from local food vendors you may want to eat before, after or just bring your own food which is totally fine. We have included 2 growlers and a $5 gift card to this brewery as a complimentary gift for staying with us. As well as a possible can or 2 or few in the fridge.”
“Familiar neighborhood fixture with a collegial atmosphere, plus drink specials & TVs showing sports.”
“One of the oldest zoos in Indiana, located in South Bend, about 40 minute drive from the cottage. Open since 1902, this zoo supplements its exhibits with educational programs, train rides & more. A cute little zoo with a large selection of animals, perfect for few hours of fun!”
