There's a beautiful walk along the water that goes to the base of the Golden Gate bridge. If you're feeling like a long walk, you can just keep going across the bridge. Sightseeing
Alcatraz is really interesting, and offers amazing views. Book early, it sells out. When you arrive, you get to tour the actual prison (with a great audio tour), and just wander around and enjoy the views. There is a night tour that is supposed to be great (but we've never done it).

It's so iconic for a reason! If you're up for a long walk, start at Crissy field, and walk along the bay to the base of the bridge, then across. For a shorter walk you can just walk the bridge itself.
