Nearest pub 5 miles, restaurant 5 miles, shop 5 miles. Public transport (bus) 2 miles away.

The cottage was previously owned by the Armstrong family owners of Craigside and Bambrugh Castle. In the past its been a post office and a sweet shop. The coast is about 30 minutes away, plenty of National trust buildings and interesting gardens within an hour including Alnwick Castle & gardens (Harry Potter/Downton Abbey film location), Cragside, Wallington etc Well and comfortably furnished. Wifi. A good place for couples and solo adventurers. Matfen hall and Vallum 5 miles or so away if you are coming to a wedding

Farmhouse annex in Northumberland village

The Old Farmhouse is a period property in the village of Slaley. A separate annex offers guests a sitting room with wood burning stove and a large family bedroom. A separate kitchen provides full electric oven with induction hob, fridge, microwave, and a washing machine. The Rose and Crown, is a community pub/restaurant located in the village and there is also a small community shop. It is only 1 mile to Slaley Hall with its excellent restaurant, leisure facilities and golf course.

A wonderful spot from which to explore the rugged Northumbrian coastline, idyllic countryside and magnificent, enchanted castles. Wildhope View is a cosy, romantic retreat with spectacular views of the rolling hills of the Aln valley and the, “18 arches” viaduct built in 1849 by Robert Stephenson.

Beblowe offers you the chance to unwind and enjoy the magic of Holy Island which is cut off from the mainland twice a day by the tides giving you a true sense of escapism. The cottage is blessed with wonderful views and is bathed in morning light. For colder months my home is cosy with central heating and a wood burning stove; perfect to relax in front of after exploring the island .
