We have recently updated this cottage ---- with a new kitchen with a proper hob and oven, and also replaced all the windows and even the front door ! The Forge cottage is set on our working sheep farm, on the Durham Northumberland border. Ideal for couples, or people traveling on their own, the cottage is a great location for local attractions such as Beamish Museum, Durham, Newcastle, Kilhope lead mining museum etc., but it's also great for those looking for peace and quiet and country walks !!

Underfloor heating, induction hob and super insulated. 2 well behaved dogs only are allowed for a small fee. Sorry no other pets allowed.

There are plenty of footpaths and cycle trails meandering through the beautiful Durham Dales and North Pennines. Within easy reach of the Lake District and Northumberland (Hadrians Wall). This beautiful cottage is located in the peaceful town of Allendale and is only a 2 minute walk to pubs & shops. This cottage has been refurbished to the highest standard and was designed specifically for the holiday rental market with Hadrians wall on our door step. It boasts a large kitchen, a cosy living area, 2 double bedrooms and a walk-in shower room. On street parking is free and there is a patio area to the rear of the property which is ideal for a sunny day.
