Beautiful and Private Modern Cottage Close to Silicon Valley

Brew French press coffee in the kitchenette and drink it in the dappled light of a quiet backyard patio. It's charming and airy inside this modern cottage. A bright sleeping loft overlooks a cozy living room, where a sofa and shag rug are arranged in front of a fireplace. This stand-alone structure offers privacy and serenity. Its stylish decor boasts clean lines and a colorful vibe. For extra guests, the sofa pulls out to a queen-sized bed. This is 750 square feet of newly renovated, high-ceilinged and airy space, including a living area, spa-like bathroom, electric fireplace, kitchenette, eating area, outdoor patio and spacious sleeping loft that overlooks the area below. There is a queen-sized pull-out couch in the living room, in addition to the queen bed in the loft, which is upstairs and includes a dressing area. New furnishings throughout. Guests can access the cottage through a separate entrance on the property, behind the main house. There will be a host in the area or in the main house to help you should anything arise during your stay. My two children sometimes play in the yard or basketball in the drive. There's a sweet and gentle dog, Penny, who lives on the premises - she might say hello and then leave you alone. The cottage is in the Mt. Carmel neighborhood, a peaceful setting in the flatlands of Redwood City. There are tree-lined streets, flowers, and friendly neighbors—perfect for walking, running, and biking. It's a half mile to bustling downtown Redwood City, walking distance to the nearest Caltrain stop and five miles to Palo Alto and other Silicon Valley companies. Easy access to Hwy 101 and 280, Stanford, San Francisco, and much of the Silicon Valley peninsula. The Caltrain is a 1/2 mile walk (or a few minutes drive) which takes you to San Francisco in as little as 35 minutes and San Jose in 30. We are 2 Caltrain stops from Palo Alto, 5 from Mountain View. Walk, bike or drive to downtown Redwood City, just .6 miles away. 30 minute drive to the top of Skyline Drive to get away from it all for a run, hike or drive through the wooded hills overlooking the Valley and the Pacific Ocean. Access the entire Bay Area from this central location - use it as a home base for day trips to Napa Valley, Sonoma, Monterey and Carmel. Kitchenette has an electronic coffee maker, french press, small convection oven/microwave, two burners, tea pot, sink and a mini-fridge. There is a European style clothes washer/dryer combo unit for small loads -- clothes may need to be hung/aired for a short time on a drying rack (provided) to become fully dry.

For a taste of big city life, adventure a bit further to San Francisco. Driving is the best option, I280 and 101 are easily accessible. Cal Train station down the hill - connects all the way from San Francisco to San Jose. Very spacious unit ( approximately 1200 sq.ft )

Spend time relaxing in the pool, hiking or biking one of the nearby trails, or just reading a book while sitting among the redwood trees.

This 3 bed, 3 bath Modern craftsman in the very heart of Silicon Valley is an easy 5 minute walk to the shops, restaurants and offices that dot University Avenue in downtown Palo Alto. Arriving and departing CalTrain's Palo Alto University Avenue station is easily done with a 10 minute walk. You really don't need a car but the driveway easily handles 3 cars. Rest assured, you'll sleep in quiet comfort. ----- Note: This house has a no parties or events policy. No outdoor noise after 9:30 PM.

Kings Mountain Studio Cabin

For those who are inclined to have an active lifestyle, We are close to Purisima Creek, Huddart Park, and El Corte De Madera Hiking and Biking Trails. This space is perfect for two! (read more about the space) 20 minutes away from Half Moon Bay with beautiful beaches and 30 min. from Stanford, Palo Alto. We are adjacent to The Mountain House Restaurant. Res recommended. Short drive to local breakfast place. NO PETS!

Carmelita Creek House

The creek house is on a beautiful tree lined street, walking distance to downtown San Carlos. The house is a spacious one bedroom cottage with designer finishes and gorgeous vaulted ceilings. You will be surrounded by mature redwoods on the peaceful balcony and one with nature at the fire pit overlooking a year round creek. Amenities include a full sized kitchen, comfortable workspace, washer/dryer, fast WiFi, cable TV and a gas fireplace. We live in the main house on the property.

The kitchen is fully equipped. Both bathroom have shower tub combo. Two reserved parking spaces on site.

A cozy 3br/3ba, one-story home in Silicon Valley, close to Stanford and Facebook. It is 5 min to HWY 101, within 30 min are 3 major airports (SFO, OAK, SJC) & San Francisco (26 mi), or skip traffic & walk 10 min to the Cal train. For an extra charge* (see below), the additional Studio apartment provides extra space with 3 extra beds+full bathroom for an additional 4 guests so the whole property can sleep 13 guests, all with REAL beds (no sofa beds or air mattresses)!!

Walking distance from a great network of destination hiking and biking trails. 15-30 minutes from Stanford, Sand Hill Road, and major tech companies. This 400 square foot space is on top of our garage and next to our home. There is no public transportation nearby and ride share services are available but not always reliable so you'll need a car.
