ABC acres is a permaculture farm in the Bitterroot Valley of Western Montana. Sustainable food production, healthy living systems, and ecological design is what we are all about. Our chickens, goats, and newly buzzing honeybee populations are out on open pasture, eating, resting, pollinating, and living the way nature intended. The Bitterroot Valley, Montana is known for its rich ranching history and is sandwiched between the Bitterroot and Sapphire mountains. The Valley is still full of horses, cattle, abundant wildlife, and hiking trails into the mountains - most of them bordering roaring creeks or rivers. The Little Red Barn studio is a modern farmhouse-style space where you can relax, enjoy the mountain views, and say hello to your neighbors (two horses and a donkey). We are a family of four living the good life on our small working farm and The Cottage is our vacation rental nestled into the center of our property. Complete with it's own driveway and nicely fenced off from the rest of the busy goings on of the barnyard, it is separate from our space, but animal sights and sounds are sometimes a part of the experience.
