The location of the apartment is exactly as I had hoped - in a peaceful, quiet area and within a walkable distance to local supermarkets (including Aldi & Lidl). There were a couple of incidents (one of which was totally unforeseeable), but both of these were dealt with immediately by ‘Victoria’ who manages the property for Julien. Victoria was excellent. The only slight negative, as I’m a very light sleeper, was the thinness of the dividing walls. You can hear the neighbours moving around. They are extremely quiet after about 8:00pm, but when the family gets up at 6:45am to get the kids to school, the noise starts. It does, however, go quiet again about an hour later. If you sleep like a log, this won’t be an issue for you. Other than that, the surrounding area is stunning. Access to the North to places such as Lisbon, Nazaré, Peniche is easy (with a hire car). The same applies to Setubal and Sesimbra to the South.

Le challenge était de taille, trouver un logement pour des vacances en famille avec 14 personnes, de 1 à 61 ans. Le logement a été plus qu'à la hauteur de nos attentes. La maison est très grande, ce qui a permis à chacun d'avoir de l'espace, très fonctionnelle, et bien équipée. La décoration est atypique et a son charme, on s'y sent tout de suite bien. Jorge, l'hôte, a été très réactif depuis le début. Venir au Portugal avec une grande famille, il fallait des certitudes, et il a su nous rassurer, vis à vis du logement, mais aussi de l'emplacement. Il nous a reçu à une heure très tardive dans la nuit, avec le sourire, et la bonne humeur. Il a été adorable tout le long de notre séjour, et nous le remercions infiniment car grâce à sa gentillesse et sa maison nous avons passé des vacances inoubliables. Dernier petit remerciement, sur les conseils de Jorge, nous avons fait appel au chef Edouardo, @pseudorestaurante, qui a su nous régaler avec des plats locaux.

A casa é lindíssima, tudo funciona perfeitamente bem. Tivemos apenas um problema, no último dia a água quente falhou e não voltou até nossa saída. Infelizmente neste dia o host não respondeu prontamente como de costume e a solução apresentada não funcionou. Porém considerei esse problema algo pontual, uma vez que a casa era maravilhosa e tudo funcionou muito bem. Portanto creio que tenha sido uma situação isolada e não deixei que isso influenciasse no mew review no geral. Recomendo a casa e voltaria tranquilamente. Tudo foi muito bem apresentado, a casa é moderna, super limpa, banheiro excelente, chuveiro perfeito, meus passageiros amaram.

We had a great time - check in was very easy and we met Sofia when we arrived. She gave a lot of suggestions what to see and where to go. The apartment is located in a quiet street but very accessible with public transport (we didn’t have a car, but parking seems to be limited). The house is lovely, very cozy, convenient for 4 people. There are two additional single beds on the second floor in the open area to accommodate two more and a sofabed downstairs which we didn’t use. The stairs are very steep, which may be a concern for people with reduced mobility or when hauling larger luggages. We didn’t have any problems and had a wonderful experience!

Tres bon séjour au cœur du quartier ancien de l alfama. Endroit ideal pour flâner a pieds dans les jolie ruelles. ! Tres bonnes adresses de petits restau sympa à proximité ! Ah c'était bien!

A estadia foi muito agradável. A casa é fantástica, com todas as comodidades necessárias e muito confortável para estadias maiores. É localizada numa zona bastante tranquila, muito perto da praia e de bons restaurantes. O Paulo foi sempre muito prestável e atencioso. Recomendo, sem dúvida.

Mariana’s home in Comporta was perfect in every way. Right in town, walkable to all the shops restaurants and bikes to the beach. She and her property manager were incredibly accommodating, hospitable and responsive. The home was beautiful, spacious, well maintained and had every amenity. I would love to stay here again and again and again. It truly made our trip to Comporta special and memorable. Thank you Mariana and Patricia!

The apartment matches the description and is very nice and clean. Good place to stay with kids. The view is also pretty good. The location is actually very convenient. There is a ferry nearby (5 min walk) that shuttles every 15 minutes or so. It's inexpensive and it transfers you to the historical center. There are no traffic jams in the Tagus river so the travel time is below 10 minutes. There is a pedestrian street with a lot of restaurants nearby (100m). Unlike many places in tourist areas these are good. And it is possible to order food in one of them while boarding the ferry and pick up when on the other side. Very convenient after the whole day in the city.

Excelente anfitrião. Informações muito claras e tudo fácil de encontrar para o check in. O apartamento é excelente. Roupas de cama e de banho limpas, cuidadas e com ótima aparência, que demonstrava o cuidado que tiveram para preparar o imóvel para a chegada. Estava tudo limpo. Cozinha bem montada. Lugar tranquilo e silencioso. Recomendo a todos.

João ist ein sehr guter Gastgeber! Er hat uns am ersten Tag mit dem Gepäck geholfen, durch die Wohnung geführt, war jederzeit ansprechbar und sehr freundlich. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll und mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail renoviert worden. João hat sehr viele Besonderheiten eingebaut und viele ausgefallene Einrichtungsgegenstände verwendet (wie z. B. einen altertümlichen Schuhputzhocker, eine ebensolche Kommode, eine antike Schreibmaschine), die mit modernen Möbeln sehr gut harmonieren. Die Küche, Bäder und Fenster sind modern und sehr gut renoviert. Zu beachten ist der vierte Stock ohne Aufzug. Die Wohnung ist mitten im Leben gelegen (wegen der guten Fenster aber ruhig): Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, gute Restaurants auch mit Fado und Bars (23 Biere frisch gezapft) sind sehr nah gelegen. Einige Sehenswürdigkeiten ebenfalls, (z. B. Fadomuseum, Biermuseum) für andere sind öffentliche Verkehrsmittel fussläufig gut erreichbar. Wir werden sehr gerne wiederkommen!

Great place to stay. It is as decribed. Clean, lovely and has everything. This is the place where i will stay again when i am back to Lisbon.

We had a great stay! The balconies was great to use to catch some sun. It was always easy to get in touch with the host. The apartment was clean. It was also very spacious!

My family had an amazing time here. The host met us for check-in in-person and provided incredibly helpful information - including local recommendations, how to use the amenities, and how to stay in touch. The property is in an amazing location - plenty of sights within walking distance and rideshares were easy to order. We were blown away by how nice and spacious the property was and the included amenities made it feel like home. I would highly, highly recommend this place and would love to stay here again!

Onur went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable during our month-long stay in Lisbon. Not only was the apartment perfectly equipped, but he even went out of his way to purchase extra items to ensure we had everything we needed. The location was fantastic — clean, safe, and in a beautiful apartment. He was always just a text away — incredibly kind, available, and understanding. We truly felt supported the entire time and never felt alone. One of the best experiences I’ve had with an Airbnb property manager. We hope to see Onur again during our next extended stay in the city. Highly recommend!

Wir waren fast 14 Tage in Davids Haus. Wir waren als fast 80-jährige Mieter von Davids Unterstützung in allen Fragen begeistert. Auch für unser Chico-Hund war toll gesorgt. Wenn wir nochmals in die Gegend kommen würden würden wirwieder Davids Haus buchen ! Ein absolutes Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The house was very well located, close to the beach with a parking lot closeby We have enjoyed our time and particularly the barbecue. If you are doing kitesurf it’s a very nice spot, just in front of one of the spots so you can go walking.

Casita muy agradable y tranquila en el campo para explorar la zona con calma. Jardincito estupendo para desayunar y cenar. Bien equipada pero una pena que el agua no sea potable. El primer día nos costó encontrarla pero en verdad es muy fácil, además Thais es muy amable y la comunicación excelente. Volveríamos encantados.

Fiquei extremamente satisfeita com a minha estadia! O espaço superou as minhas expectativas — muito limpo, bem decorado e com todos os detalhes pensados ao pormenor para proporcionar conforto e bem-estar. Supermercados a 5min da casa, o que é incrível. A comunicação foi sempre fácil e rápida, e senti-me muito bem recebida. Foi uma experiência mesmo agradável e sem dúvida que voltaria a repetir. Recomendo a 100%!

Lovely, quiet area, not too far from Comporta. Big house with lots of room.

Francisca for me really is a superhost. From the beginning until we left she was always there for us with helpful information concerning the house oder things you can do around in this Area. A big big thank you for letting us live in your home. We enjoyed really a lot . The house which is a littler bit older but has lots of charme has two bigger sleeping rooms and one smaller children room, so it is perfect for a family with two to four or even five children( there is even a baby bed ) . The house has a nice atmosphere and the garden ist perfect to play badminton or other games . The Area is perfect if you like to play golf, because the courses are in walking distance . For all the other things you need a car . A small super market is two minutes away with the car . The beaches of Fonta de Telha oder Costa da Caparica you reach in 10 Minutes with the car, to Lisbon you need about twenty minutes, if there’s a normal traffic, so for us this was strategically the best place to start our activities . We would come back anytime to have our holidays here again . Thomas Schneider

We absolutely loved our stay! The house is the best appointed air BnB we have stayed in. Fresh picked vegetables, bread, milk, coffee, butter and a bottle of wine. Plentiful towels and a full kitchen with all the appliances. The house is located on a property with other houses yet it is private and secluded. The property is lovely to walk around. Mornings and evenings are special with the light and fresh air. Highly recommend staying here!

Our stay at Casa das Hortas was just fantastic, Maria, the host , has put a lot of care to create a very confortable retreat where you can find all you might need. The house is very nice and cozy and has everything you may need for your stay Besides that, Maria welcomed us with a fantastic basket full of local products and form the home orchard that were just delicious. The house is placed in a very nice private property where you can walk around freely and has plenty of things to do. Unfortunately, we were not very lucky with the weather and we had some rainy days, but that gave us the chance to use the fantastic chimney to create a cozy atmosphere. Alcalcer do Sal and nearby Comporta offer good day trips and restaurants We hope to come back again !
