Stationmaster's Cottage

A detached Victorian stone cottage in the shadow of Pickering Castle and overlooking North York Moors Railway station, this characterful property with real fire is only 3 minutes walk away from town centre amenities, the castle and a ten minute walk to the start of the Tabular Hills way and gateway to the North York Moors National Park. Free parking is provided in the Platform 3 Car Park diagonally opposite the property 70 yards away (dashboard pass provided). Please note: steep stepped access.

A sunlit home in a village of artists and fishermen on the edge of the North York Moors. Once the studio of a Victorian photographer and later home to “Dolphin Man” Dr Horace Dobbs, a pioneer in underwater photography. With a garden, terrace and spacious lounge, it’s perfect for relaxing, exploring, or simply being inspired. The famous Staithes Art Festival it's taking place this year between the 13th and 14th of September. Unusually we have availability at the moment. Book soon!

Superior Central Pickering listed cottage on the edge of the North York Moors - Stunning country drives to the likes of Dalby forest, historic Whitby & Robins Hoods Bay and family friendly Scarborough. For walkers we are based on the foot of the stunning NYM National Park (Rosedale, Hutton le Hole & Goathland etc), with the beautiful NYM steam railway just a stones throw down the road. Medieval York, food lovers Malton & beautiful Helmsley are all within accessible distance.

Relax and unwind in the newly refurbished one bed Irishman's Cottage. The cottage retains many old features and is surrounded by the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds. The living space is open plan with ample space for a couples retreat or family break away. In the summer months dine al fresco and enjoy a BBQ on the private patio besides the wood burning hot tub. A short walk away is our private lake, where you might catch site of a resting deer or hare!
