Herdy Lodge - Cosy Family Getaway

Herdy Lodge is a contemporary take on a country cottage (Insta =HerdyLodge) It is within our family smallholding on the Northern slopes of the Eden Valley where we farm our happy flock of herdwick sheep. It has a modern, crisp interior and good ecological credentials inc a wood pellet boiler and "passive" building design. It has a private drive and garden with a terrace looking directly onto the lakeland fells. Plenty to do nearby: Takin Tarn, Hadrian's Wall, Lakes and Dales, Rhegged Centre.

Stay at the Lake View Lodge and wake up to fantastic views of Lake Windermere and its mountain backdrop every morning. The Lake View Lodge is a self-contained, wooden lodge with access to three acres of grounds and wild meadows attracting a wonderful array of wildlife including owls, red kites, deer, foxes and woodpeckers. Sorry, no dogs – to protect our ancient woodland and the endangered red squirrels who live here.

The beck can be heard both outside and in, & relaxing and therapeutic for mind, body and soul.

Clough Head pod is perfect for romantic, cosy nights away and to explore the beautiful picturess mountains right outside your door! This takes glamping to a new level. Head outside to it’s own private dining area overlooking Blencathra which is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine after a day of exploring or take a soak in the hot tub and read a good book!

Juniper is a great pod for 4 people, double bed and sofa bed. all the essentials you will need kettle, fridge, oven, microwave, toaster smart tv and free WiFi. it is also ideal for bringing your pets, has a private decking area with a gate on, so no one wanders off, we also supply dog/cat bed if you need one.
