We recently stayed at Terje’s charming farmhouse in Norway’s Hjørundfjord, and it was a special experience. The farmhouse blends old-world charm with modern amenities and offers breathtaking views of the fjord. The house is equipped with all modern comforts, including a well-stocked kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, a big-screen smart TV, an outdoor hot tub, and comfortable beds to accommodate a large group. Two ferry ports a short drive from the farmhouse offer free rides to Ålesund, the roadless village of Trandal, and other destinations. Terje was exceptionally hospitable, providing great recommendations for local hiking activities and promptly responding to all our inquiries. He went above and beyond to make our stay at the farmhouse exceptional. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful and picturesque getaway!

Lovely cabin, amazing area!

I cannot emphasize enough how relaxing and splendid our experience was! We had an amazing time staying there for our honeymoon! The host and her husband were very kind, friendly, and hospitable. Even though we came during Christmas, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome! They even set us up a Christmas tree in the cabin and provided home-made snacks. There was plenty of fire wood, so we stayed nice and warm. The beds were so soft! The back four beds could easily fit two people each, for those who are wondering. If you stay with them, I highly recommend renting the sauna paired with swimming in the fresh water lake! The eggs from the chickens are delicious! The sheep are friendly. It was the coziest, most relaxing place we have ever stayed. We are so grateful to have been able to visit! It really made our honeymoon special. We hope to one day come back during the summer to see how the area differs, but we suspect it is spectacular at any point in the year.

Ce logement est vraiment une pépite ! Le cadre est vraiment phénoménal avec une vue magnifique et le lac gelé nous a permis de vivre un séjour magique ! Nous avons aussi pu utiliser le sauna et le jacuzzi c'était vraiment la cerise sur le gâteau ! Un énorme merci pour votre disponibilité et ce séjour inoubliable !

Super peaceful location - and open space.

Vi koste oss i huset på Lyngøy og kommer gjerne tilbake. Overraskende fint inni huset, finere og koseligere enn på bildene. Nydelig utsikt og natur. Vi så ørn flere ganger og gikk en nydelig tur på øya. Koselig å fyre i peisen når det er kaldt ute. Gode faseliteter og masse sengetøy og håndkler tilgjengelig. Arne er en hyggelig og behjelpelig vert.

We arrived late at night after a 4 hour drive from Narvik. The next day Cato showed me how to fill and heat the hottub and even took it upon himself to get it up to temp while we were out grocery shopping. That night we enjoyed gazing at the aurora borealis dancing above our heads in the hottub. A couple days later it got rainy and extremely windy preventing us from heating the hottub. As compensation Cato offered us use of his sauna and to take a swim in the sea, which we gladly did. He also gave us a whole cod for free from his fisherman's friend Tom which we used to make typical Norwegian dishes. Cato was extremely helpful and kind, he replied within minutes whenever we needed help or had any questions and he was full of amazing recommendations, as to where to hike and which towns and restaurants to visit. Towards the end of our stay it snowed a lot turning the surroundings into winter wonderland. We were very lucky to see all sides of Norway including the Northern lights!

What a wonderful house in a perfect peaceful location great for exploring Andøya.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in der Unterkunft von Karin. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön gelegen und sehr ruhig. Wir haben uns direkt wie Zuhause gefühlt. Alles war sehr sauber. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt.

Jorun hatte schon viele Gäste in ihrem Haus auf Sommaroy. Wie alle Gäste vor uns auch,kann ich nur von Herzen bestätigen was für eine tolle Gastgeberin Jorun ist und wie wohl wir uns von Anfang bis Ende in ihrem Haus gefühlt haben!!!!! Auch bei einer Anreise die wetterbedingt alles andere als glatt verlaufen ist ,stand sie uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite, vielen Dank dafür;) Wir werden bestimmt noch einmal wiederkommen, zum einen um Joruns Gastfreundschaft noch einmal zu genießen und zum anderen um eine zweite Chance zu bekommen die Polarlichter doch noch sehen zu können, was dieses mal leider nicht der Fall war. This place is beautiful! A very old house, in perfect conditions and with a very well styled interior. The house is in a beautiful surrounding. When we had a short walk at night we even see a moose!

Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und kommunikativ und haben uns Ausflugstipps gegeben. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Nous avons adoré le séjour passé dans la cabane, c'est très mignon et calme. L'environnement est superbe. Torfinn a été un hôte très sympathique et aidant, et de bons conseils sur la région.Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Perfekt sted for oss denne natten

we went to have a disconnected weekend with my partner and found these Cabin in an incredible souroundings!! we have enjoyed waking up with mountains view and spend the evening next to the fire after some ski. 100% recommend

En veldig koslig plass og hyggelig vertskap. Vi var 6 venninner som nøyt ei hyttehelg med god mat og fine turer i nærområdet. Perfekt som møtepunkt mellom Trondheim og Oslo. Kan absolutt anbefales, og vi kommer gjerne tilbake!

Anne-Kristine hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und einiges zu diesem historischen Haus erzählt. Sie und ihr Mann standen jederzeit und stets sehr freundlich für Fragen zur Verfügung. Das alte Haus ist ein Traum, geschmackvoll hergerichtet und eingerichtet und an den richtigen Stellen vorsichtig mit modernem Komfort nachgerüstet (Wärmepumpe/Klimaanlage, tolles Bad mit Dusche). Ein weiteres Highlight ist der sehr schöne Platz direkt am Fjord, den wir nutzen durften. Hier kann man neben dem Bootshaus mit toller Aussicht schönen Abende verbringen. Insgesamt einer unserer schönsten Airbnb-Erfahrungen. Vielen Dank auch für die leckeren Äpfel. Wir kommen wieder.

Arnfinn hat einen sehr Freundlich empfangen und ist ein sehr guter Gastgeber. Die Betten war sehr gemütlich und auf dem Balkon hatte man eine tolle Aussicht. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön und ruhig und das Airbnb hat uns sehr Gefallen. Zusammengefasst hatten wir eine super Übernachtung und das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist top.

We simply Loooved Emilie's and Elna's place. Such a priviledge that they shared their home with us. We didn't even want to explore much of the surroundings because it was simply exactly what we needed - watching the waves and water, the clouds and the everchanging weather (torrential rain, wind, sun - all in one day). Just what the doctor ordered! And we could watch that from the deck, but also from inside when the wind and cold got a bit too much outside ;) Even the boys just enjoyed hanging out. And in addition for the home to be so wonderful, Elna and Emilie are such wonderful hosts. They go way beyond and above anyone could expect of a host. We would love to come back.

Nous nous sommes sentis rapidement comme à la maison avec un logement confortable et une ambiance typique que l'on aime trouver dans un voyage à l'étranger. L'emplacement est idéal pour les activités de ski de randonnée dans les Alpes de Lyngen. Le propriétaire des lieux est très impliqué dans l'accueil de ces hôtes et s'assure que tout aille bien. Je recommande.

What a fantastic time we have spent in Trude and Andreas’ magnificent house in Haukanes on Huglo! The charming, secluded and well equipped traditional red house and its quiet surroundings are breathtaking with ever changing views, the greens and flowers, the small cottages, the boathouse, the pier, the boat and of course the sea only a few meters away. Despite some fairly rainy days we (two adults and a youngster of 16) enjoyed a lot the cozy house and had plenty to do exploring the island; hiking the Natur/Kulturstien, “climbing” Høgafjellet more than once, and talking to the very friendly and helpful Huglare. Other highlights included ice cream sessions at the Huglabutikken (with a surprisingly good selection of groceries), the multiple ferry trips to Hodnanes and Jektavik and the hiking on Stord (Stovegolvet). Trude and Andreas are fantastic hosts, extremely fast in answering any questions we had and we would warmly recommend to visit their magic place on Huglo.
