Laughing Horse Lodge - Animal friendly in Waipu

Positioned high in the hills above Waipu Cove, we offer a tranquil and modern animal-friendly base in historic Waipu, close to the beaches and town. The perfect spot to explore sunny Northland. Equestrians, you can arrange to bring your horse, ride in our arena or on nearby stunning Uretiti beach. If you'd like to bring your friendly dog, we can accommodate your furry friends. Our location is very quiet: no traffic noise, just the occasional sound of surf and birds. Not just for horse lovers.

Newly built 3 bedroom retreat 2 kms from Matakana village & a few minutes to the beautiful Omaha Beach. Your own private, accommodation on a 100-acre sheep and cattle farm, complete with dart board & pool table. Excellent for wedding groups, we are right next to the Matakana cycleway that links Omaha/Point Wells. A covered deck is perfect to enjoy a drink at the end of a day at one of the many local beaches. Peaceful Rural Retreat

Our converted half-round barn is a peaceful escape located in the rural outskirts of historical Kerikeri. It's filled with books, toys for the kids, an eclectic collection of secondhand furniture (and other things that might remind you of your nana's house) and a whole bunch of relaxation. Bedding provided for 6 but can easily sleep more if needed. Private backyard, firepit and stunning bushwalks. 10 min to Kerikeri. 25 min to Paihia and the Bay of Islands.

A peaceful rural rustic space to retreat and relax yet minutes from town amenities and the main Northland route. Nestled in the grounds of a 9 acre property half-way along a country cul-de-sac the cottage is contained within a converted mid-century milking shed made cosy, comfy and self-contained, characterised by quirky charm and surrounded by gardens and birdsong. Easy access, no check-in required.
