This self-contained guest house on sunny Galiano Island is the perfect oceanside getaway! This property boasts 1000+ feet of low-bank private waterfront. The sandstone rock beach is perfect for summer swimming or spring/fall storm watching. Daily sightings of seals, sea lions, eagles, all manner of birds and whales pass by this beach. The house looks over a sprawling lawn and over the water, with views of Vancouver. This newly-renovated one bedroom cottage has a queen bed and brand new bathroom.

You are just a 90 second drive to the bay with great restaurants, bakery, Ice Cream shop, and whale watching.

Carriage House on the Rock is a two minute walk to Westwood Lake Park that offers world-class mountain bike trails and hiking. A cozy one bedroom carriage house that is fully appointed. A 6km walk around the lake, or if you are feeling adventurous, a 3 hour hike up Mount Benson and its amazing views are nearby. Only three km to downtown, & float planes to Vancouver. Walking distance to VIU, Aquatic Center, and Nanaimo Ice Center. We are centrally located but offer a quiet remote getaway.

Property is surrounded by nature with Bright Angel Park right outside the back gate. Take your morning coffee, stroll along the trails and be at the river within minutes. A hop skip and a jump away from Shawnigan Lake and the Kinsol Trestle, our 200sq ft cozy dwelling is located in a quiet neighborhood, with many hiking and mountain biking trails near by. The room has a double bed with a pull out couch and extra bedding if needed. Brought a bottle of wine? Pop it in the mini fridge! The coffee maker is ready for your peaceful morning. Private entrance with a small area to sit out front. Want to have a fire? No problem. Fire pit is ready to go.

Our 300 sq. ft. cottage is situated on a 2.5 acre property where we reside. The location is perfect for those who want to have a place to relax after exploring the local vineyards, farmers’ markets, parks, beaches and walking trails. The cottage’s style mimics that of the main house, which is about 60 feet away from the cottage. We respect your privacy, and will leave you to yourselves. We love meeting new people and are LGBTQ+ friendly!
