We are located in the hills of central VT, close to hiking, skiing and swimming. Disconnect to reconnect! Our homestead is based on permaculture landscape design. Unwind in the traditional Finnish Sauna, relax by the living pool, or kick back in an Adirondack chair looking out at the hills of VT. We have an ideal environment for digital detox. Mariaville Goat Farm Yurt

A charming, stylish 20’ yurt in the woods on our small, off-the-grid goat farm! If you are looking to get away from it all (and still be close to SO much) - this is the place for you! Enjoy a nap in the hammock, s’mores around a campfire, a great night’s sleep under the stars, a country breakfast delivered to your door - and goats! Take a walk in the woods...enjoy the artistic landscaping...try goat yoga! Or, experience some of the area’s AMAZING food, beverages, shopping, and attractions!

Magical Treehouse

Sleep up in the trees in our cozy Magical Treehouse. This place is the perfect base camp for your next adventure, or a unique spot to curl up with a good book. The perfect place to be in the woods, but not isolated. Cook your meals in the nearby cookhouse (40’ away, unheated) on a camp stove or over an open campfire. A heated bathroom/shower is 20’ away. We provide you with linens, cookware, plus help you plan your trip. Property includes miles of hiking trails and beautiful places to explore!

This charming space includes a fully equipped kitchen and a private bathroom with a claw foot tub/shower. Two queen beds, air mattress & futon mattress. 12 mi. to Montpelier and 7 mi. in the opposite direction to Lake Elmore, 4 miles to Worcester Trailhead and 6 miles to Hunger Mt! This yurt is “glampy” inside with leather chairs and a substantial log bed. The yurt has a rusticator kitchen with all of the basics for cooking: fridge, stovetop, sink, water, firepit & firewood. The Yurt In The Woods is 30 ft in diameter - 700 spacious sq. ft. It's surrounded by trees and has a yard. 2 night stays required for Weekends. October 6th and 12th are currently vacant if you want a fall foliage trip. SNOW SWEET, A Yurt for All Seasons

Snow Sweet at The Appleton Retreat is very private, check out the Trail Map. This contemporary yurt faces the Field of Dreams and has a nice view of Appleton Ridge. It features a private therapeutic hot tub on the deck, a fire pit, and fast wifi. The Appleton Retreat encompasses 120 acres hosting six unique retreats. To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1300 acre reserve.
