It has it's own entrance with private parking space for one vehicle and private walled and fenced garden. It is situated at the end of a no-through road, totally surrounded by hills with stunning views from every window. Newly converted in 2023 we have put much thought and love into the project, aiming to create a warm, comfortable and stylish space, finished to a high standard.

Hilltop Lodge is a beautiful detached timber building set in enclosed garden (perfect for dogs). It's open plan, with a wood-burning stove to keep you warm on an evening, with well-equipped kitchen and dining area. It has large windows with lots of natural light. The garden is abundant in wildlife throughout the year, and has a lovely terrace to sit out on with comfortable outdoor seating. Within walking distance of a village pub, shop, cafes and gift shop. Caldbeck is situated on the fifth and final section of the Cumbria Way. The cottage is perfect for walkers and non-walkers as there is plenty to do around the area. If you are bringing your dog, please make sure you include them in your booking as there is a charge to bring a pet.

Ideal for couples. Completed in 2020, The Byre is one of 3 cottages in our old stone barn near Ullswater in the Lake District. Thornythwaite Farm is in Matterdale which is a peaceful valley off the beaten track but with great access to all the popular areas of the Lakes. There are plenty of walks from the door and a good pub, The Royal, is just a short stroll down the road.
