Burnside is a cosy, secluded bolthole and perfect base to explore old Galloway. Built in the 1850s, our family restored the bungalow in 1970 and we've been visiting since. The cottage sits in a tranquil valley, a mile from the sea. It'll be just you, the wildlife and the view, within easy reach of beaches, rocky coves, and hills. The house is in an enclosed half-acre site. It sleeps five in double, twin and single bedrooms. The kitchen/living room are open plan with log burning stove and WiFi.

Longhill is a rural getaway, surrounded by farmland, yet only a few minutes drive from the nearest town of Whithorn. It also boasts a number of beautiful beaches and walks on it's doorstep, plus charming harbour towns and Scotland's National Book Town, Wigtown. There are plenty of places to explore and visit, or you can simply cosy up by the fire, have a ping pong tournament, nap in the sumptuous beds or read in the garden.
