We have a Ranch with a walkout basement. It's like an apartment within a home. The Donut Suite is the entire downstairs of our home. There is only 1 stair from where you park to the entrance of the suite.

Bohemian Firehouse-an authentic 1916 Firehouse

The Bohemian Firehouse was the living quarters for the men stationed there when it was built in 1916. It sits above a retail space which housed the firetruck. The charming brick building is in near original condition, despite surviving a major flood and a derecho. You'll love the gorgeous woodwork, vintage tile and light fixtures. But you'll appreciate some modern touches like air conditioning, an updated kitchen and smart tv. Still, it's easy to imagine the stories these walls could tell.

Both Cedar Rapids and Iowa City are also a short drive away. You will be close to everything when you stay at our centrally-located home! The home comfortably accommodates 6 guests. A Queen Air Mattress is available for an additional 2 guests. There is a $15 fee per night per person for 7th and 8th guest. 8 guests max.

Come back to your suite and slip into one of our custom robes while you fill the whirlpool for a night or relaxation.

The historic Hogle House was home to Dr. Kate Hogle, the first female doctor in Mount Vernon, alumni of Cornell College; and her husband, Dr. George Hogle. Named after it’s neighborhood roots, this 2 bedroom apartment is full of charm. Originally the first floor of a 1900 home for railroad workers in Marion, it is now a refurbished 2 bedroom apartment we call the Irish hill. A completely separate 1 bedroom apartment (also on Airbnb) is the top half of the house, and we call that the Uptown B! Check it out on our host profile. Irish hill guests will have access to a .25 acre yard (unfenced). Only blocks away from uptown Marion!

Our Pretty Suite is an adorable getaway located in the quaint town of Swisher (near airport). A historical building remodeled as a pretty little honeymoon or bridal suite, the space is suitable for bridal parties, honeymooning, or girls' getaways. The suite sleeps 7-8 guests, includes a full kitchen and a romantic jacuzzi jet tub. You’ll love walking to the local coffee shop for a homemade pastry or staying in our dreamy retreat sipping an espresso.
