Da Knob on Lake Independence

Enjoy beautiful Lake Independence 25 miles NW of Marquette, MI with a 3-bedroom lake cottage right on the southside of the lake with a sandy beach (217 ft) and dock. Pontoon not included, but there is an open boat slip on our dock (mid-June through mid-October). 2 kayaks & SUPs are included. Some of the best UTV and snowmobiling trails along with backcountry snowmobiling in the U.P. are right in your backdoor. Fish for walleye, perch, pike, and bass on Lake Independence in the summer or winter!

Area trails are suitable for hiking, biking, four wheeling. Winter Rental: area trails suitable for snowmobiles, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Plenty of parking!

The River House is a two bedroom cottage on the Chocolay River in Marquette, Michigan. It is adjacent to a bike path and walkway that runs through Marquette County, along the shore of Lake Superior. This cozy cottage has a deck and sun room with a view of the river, and is close to beaches, marinas, and the beautiful city of Marquette. The River House is a comfortable, peaceful retreat. Out of respect for our neighbors, we cannot accommodate snow mobiles on the property.

Our charming cozy cabin is 25 miles from Marquette and within three miles to grocery store, pharmacy, gas station and hardware store. On beautiful Mehl Lake. Great for swimming (sand bottom) and fishing. Two kayaks available with life jackets and beach towels. Large groups of MORE than 6 people (total) on property are prohibited.
