This beautifully renovated home sits on 5.5 acres with an acre pond. Conveniently located near I-55 & I-12 and about 5 min. from S.L.U. & downtown Hammond. Harper's Haven is about 30 min from Baton Rouge & about 45 minutes from downtown New Orleans. Sleeps 6, offering a King size bed, & 2 Queen beds. The kitchen is fully equipped including a Keurig. Lulu’s Louisiane Swamp Camp

Swamp Camp offers a unique peaceful retreat to nature enthusiasts in the heart of Louisiana swamp country. We are at the dead end of a quiet one mile road called “Happywoods.” Our camp, up on piers, is situated in the wetlands along the Tickfaw River and adjoining Tickfaw State Park. We look out onto a wilderness sanctuary with turtles, alligator, beaver, and otter along with a variety of water birds among the characters. The camp is built centered on a 300 plus year old cypress tree.

The Camper

The Camper is located two miles from the interstate, tucked away on 3 acres of private, peaceful property. If you need a break, this is the place for you. It is located on the back of our property and borders the woods. The deck is a great place to relax and enjoy the mesmerizing splash of the fountain in our stocked pond. We offer catch and release fishing, or you can enjoy a stroll on our short nature trail that winds through the woods. We welcome you to our little slice of heaven.

Camp Tickfaw Retreat - Waterfront Getaway

Escape to Camp Tickfaw, a peaceful river-front getaway. This 3-bedroom, 2-bath home sits directly on the Tickfaw River with stunning water views through wide open windows and French doors leading out to a very spacious deck - beautiful scenery - perfect for relaxing and enjoying the river and quiet peaceful surroundings. The interior of the house is very bright and cheery, while being cozy and comfortable. Very spacious kitchen, living and dining area - great for family gatherings.

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. Close to highway, the university, and 40 minutes to either New Orleans or Baton Rouge airports. Come relax and take in the sites at this waterfront house on the bayou! You’re welcome to bring a pole and fish off the dock or hop in a kayak and explore the swamp. The outside deck is equipped for boat/jet ski docking, and the canal leads to the Tickfaw River. There is plenty of room inside and out to spend quality time with friends and family. It is 10 minutes to local dining and 45 minutes to Baton Rouge and/or New Orleans. There are 4 kayaks available!

The Yellow Cottage on the River (w/ Dock Access!)

Our quaint yellow cottage sits on a quiet street where you have plenty of space to hear the cicadas and breathe in the Louisiana air. We're situated directly on the Amite River and this cottage is perfect for anyone who loves to fish! We provide a place to dock your boat, and can even recommend the best routes along the river that we often take ourselves. Please note that we do not allow pets at the cottage so get your fur babies a sitter and come on down.

The Blue Heron Guest House-6 acres on the bayou.

Take it easy at this unique getaway. Located on Bayou Manchac on a gated 6 acre estate. The Blue Heron Guest House is a great place to just get away, enjoy nature, canoe (provided), fish the pond or the bayou, birdwatching (lots of birds), etc. The property does have a boat slip and a small boat launch for those who want to explore the area by boat. Bayou Manchac connects to the Amite River nearby. We can’t wait to share our paradise with you!
