We stayed for 4 nights in April 2025, 2 adults and 2 children (9 and 13). Fabulous stay, the cottage is lovely and tucked away from the road. The hot tub was a big hit and made the stay that little bit more amazing! Excellent host and a lovely cottage, we will be back.

We had a lovely stay for our mini moon with our dog. The cottage was beautiful and peaceful with everything we needed. The hot tub was on and ready for when we got there and we were even given fresh bread and eggs for breakfast. Even though the owners lived right next door we were left to enjoy our stay with no disruptions. The location was ideal with amazing walks nearby and plenty of pubs within a short distance. We can’t recommend this cottage enough. Thank you so much for having us.

Had the nicest weekend away here, a very beautiful property with stunning views. The house was extremely well equipped and spacious, and the hot tub was delightful. Neil was a friendly host who kindly showed us around and how to use everything upon arrival. Would 100% recommend and would love to come back.

A wonderful stay at the piggery. really clear guidance and instructions fron the host Clare and lots of lovely optional extras available. check in was easy and flexible. The home was lovely and clean and beautifully simple in decor. A really relaxing atmosphere. the outdoor space was calming and secluded. You felt like you were in your own little piece of heaven. Two lovely runner ducks on site who popped by every morning and evening to say hello. A really quick response from Clare when we became short of wood and it was delivered less than 20 minutes later. Lots of lovely homely touches and all the appliances, cutlery and niceties you could need. I booked for a suprise weekend away for my partners 50th and he absolutely loved it. A truly relaxing getaway. There is lots to do in the area including walks, gardens and pubs but we enjoyed the site so much we just stayed in!

The converted stable has been finished to a very high standard and is absolutely beautiful. Fabulous bathroom with a lovely roll top bath as well as an excellent shower. Kitchen finished to a very high spec with all needed utensils in place. Bed was extremely comfortable with great quality pillows & duvet. The hot tub was the icing on the cake, which we enjoyed every day. We were lucky enough to see two red squirrels when out walking early in the morning as well as a barn owl 🥰

Lovely way to spend a few days over the Easter hols the kids. The house has everything you need and is very comfortable, thanks for a lovely stay.

Lovely little cottage. Really cosy and plenty of space. Great pubs nearby all in walking distance, and some lovely walks too. Great place to take the dogs! Thank you for such a lovely break!

It was such a lovely stay at Lucy and Nick! Everything was perfect and all the family so lovely and welcoming. The cottage, the surroundings, the animals, the region, .. I will come back soon for sure!

Clair's cottage was beautiful and radiated the love she clearly puts into it. There was a lovely basket of goodies and breakfast, tea, coffee, milk and cereal which was enormously helpful. There were so many lovely touches - things in the bathroom should you have forgotten anything for instance. Clair was incredibly helpful with parking, times to check in and out etc. It was a shame we were only there for one night but we will definitely be back for a longer stay.

We stay in many apartments and houses and without a doubt Lobster Cottage was the best stocked for any amenities, there was nothing Camilla had not considered from plentiful dishes and all the kitchen ware you could consider to excellent linens, DVDs and games. All of this is on top pf the fact that the cottage is amazing. Obviously the place is over 400 years old and has all the quirks that go with a building of this age such as a character narrow twisting staircase all of which add to the charm of the cottage. There is loads of room inside and outside with parking right next to the cottage. We had a wonderful stay and cannot recommend Lobster Cottage enough. Thank you Camilla we hope that when we return to the Island we will be able to stay in your wonderful home again

For my first holiday away with my 2 beautiful children I honestly couldn’t have wished for a better stay. The cottage is beautiful, the gardens and surrounding grounds are stunning, simply a lovely place to be. We spent a lot of time in the cottage and use if the new fire pit in the evenings as it was so peaceful and relaxing. 2 main attractions for us were Pooh Corner with Ashdown Forrest for all your Winnie the Pooh adventures, and Hever Castle which is a lovely day out. Tennis courts and a lovely pool to boot ❤️❤️❤️ Caroline left some beautiful touches, some Easter treats for my children and a host of food and fresh juice, lovely 😍❤️

We had a lovely stay over Easter, the weather was mixed but the village has everything you need- a few cafes snd pubs, baker, butcher, fishmonger and a couple of coops. Lots of places to walk and visit from the cottage. The off road parking is great but a bit tight for a larger car. The house was spotless, warm and comfortable. Stairs are steep ( common in houses of this age), but my elderly father managed ok. Thanks for a fun break!

The cottage was comfortable and nicely furnished. We loved the rural location which was also in reach of all the attractions the Island has to offer. The bathroom is within the bedroom which wouldn't suit everyone, but fine for us. We would recommend for a peaceful break.

Great little find! Loved the outdoor space where we were able to sit and have food with family. Log burner was lovely in the evening and made it even more cosy. Shower was hot and powerful and the kitchen had everything we needed. Will recommend and will definitely book again

It’s honestly the first place we’ve stayed at I Reigate that felt homely and comfortable. The mattress was comfortable. The entire place feels warm. Well done David

Booked to stay at Jane’s beautiful cottage for nearly a month, due to a water leak making my home not safe to live in. From the first enquiry, Jane has been amazing, she is so reassuring, friendly, welcoming and proactive. She really helped to ease me in this difficult time. The property is exactly as described on her page and it’s safe to say it is certainly a home from home. It had all the amenities I needed to live as I would at home, the beds were incredibly comfortable, the living room cosy and the garden is gorgeous for when the sun is shining. Plenty of parking for our cars and even more reassurance being behind a private gate too. Even my dog settled into this property quickly and made herself at home! Although I didn’t need them, it was nice to see a selection of local guides, booklets and maps in the cottage for those not familiar with the area. I can’t recommend Jane and her cottage enough, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to stay to anyone visiting the area!

Peaceful location, annexe equipped with all necessary amenities, great place to stay and lovely location . Slept well , owners very friendly and responsive.

This place is so handy for the airport and Christine works hard to help you feel looked after, including ordering a taxi and other advice. It's very clean and there's simple breakfast provided. Comfortable beds! And the parking is a godsend.

We recently stayed at this lovely cottage from December 29th to January 1st, and we can’t recommend it highly enough! The cottage was well-maintained, super cosy, and felt like a perfect little escape. Here are some of the highlights: Location The cottage is right on the edge of the South Downs, and waking up to those fantastic views every morning was such a treat. It’s also conveniently close to Newhaven for shopping, with reliable and frequent public transport options. We rented a car for part of our stay, and while parking near the cottage can be a bit tight for larger vehicles (as the listing clearly mentions), it wasn’t a major issue for us. One of the things we loved most was the tranquillity—you could hear nothing at night, which was such a refreshing change. If you’re visiting in winter, don’t forget your boots for those beautiful South Downs walks! Amazing place to stay. Every detail is covered. It is a beautiful, peaceful location in lovely grounds to walk around. Hot fresh pastries were delivered each morning which was a lovely way to start the day. Well location for many attractions. We will definitely return in the future.
