Ormsby Mitchel was a Major General during the Civil War, and this was his home. This updated historic home was built in 1814 and is in the heart of downtown Lebanon. This house was built in the early 1800's as part of a small town "Rossburg" that no longer exists and is reported to have been a Tavern. This is one of the last remaining structures for this town along with the barn and house across the street.
