Mareò Traditional Retreat

"Introducing "Mareò” Traditional Retreat"! This charming house, nestled beneath Archangelos Castle in Rhodes, offers a rustic yet elegant experience. Hartso - Traditional loft, 10 mins from the beach

The name “Hartso” (in greek: Χαρτσό), derived from the word Copper (in greek: Χαλκός) has been maintained for this house to date by the residents of the village, because of its initial use as forge in the late 1800s. Its Architecture has the characteristics of the traditional single-room with swirling arch houses of Rhodes, with fireplace and a wooden “paga” (i.e. traditional bench). Ideal for couple, 300m from the beach, has seaview and terrace.

The house is 150 years old, originally belonged to my mother and now fully restored and furnished in style. There is only one tavern in the village with a population of about 100 friendly, native Greeks. It is 10 km to Lindos and various beaches and sites.
