Sonka Resort’s Mirror Houses are set by a frozen lake, surrounded by forest and open sky. This wilderness villa sits next to Urho Kekkonen National Park, with its own sauna and, a short walk away, Suomen Latu Kiilopää's fell centre (rental, restaurant, ski tracks). Husky and reindeer safaris, restaurants and slopes are 15 min away in Saariselkä; Ivalo Airport is 35 min. Aurora sightings aren't guaranteed, but few places give a better shot from indoors.

A cosy cottage in a beautiful area only a 30min drive from the city centre. You can set up a bonfire by the stream, listen to the magic sounds of the nature and watch the sky. This is one of the best places in town to see the Aurora Borealis.Now they are at their best and you can see them just looking out of the window inside the cottage!The cottage is right next to the river Ounasjoki.The cottage is only a short distance from the city center but you will be just like different world.

Glamping in Aurora Igloo

Experience our unique Aurora igloo. Clamping near the city centre but still next to the forest. See and feel the frost around you but enjoy the warmness of the real fire and down blanket. Enjoy Lapland! We have only one igloo in our garden and it is one of a kind! You may also use the garden around for winter fun activities. We have sledges and shuffles for your use. There is no jacuzzi/hot tub or sauna available in this accommodation I am afraid.
