We have an enhanced cleaning policy to ensure guest safety and peace of mind in the midst of uncertain times that includes: A top notch HEPA filter, spraying or wiping disinfectant on all surfaces and washing laundry with hot water and bleach. This is an eclectic and imaginative one bedroom cottage sanctuary with a front porch swing for watching east Austin mosey on by. Joyous comfort is to be had in the main bedroom with custom cathedral ceiling and tempurpedic bed. The bathroom features a walk in shower with custom tile and a clawfoot tub for all of your bathing dreams. There is an additional sleeping loft should you have a friend or two who would like to accompany you. City of Austin Operating License # 096563 This lot features a front house (all yours) and a back house that we stay at when we are in Austin. Please make yourself at home on the front and side porches but we ask that you give some privacy to the back yard immediately surrounding the back house. Thank you! I travel often but regularly stay in the back house on the property. I love getting to know guests and if our paths cross I look forward to talking with you. Central East Austin is a diverse and dynamic neighborhood that is just a few minutes from downtown and yet still quiet. In addition to offering of some of Austin's best restaurants and music venues, it also has important history to explore. In the last century, highway 35 was a tool of segregation, with east (of 35) Austin providing a rich community for African Americans. See how this history lives on through a plethora of old and new businesses is this burgeoning neighborhood! There is a parking spot that you are welcome to use directly in front of the house and there is also plenty of street parking with no permitting or street cleaning concerns. The closest B-Cycle station is a 15 minute walk away at Victory Grill on 11th St. Many of the 6th St restaurants and bars are a 10 minute walk as well. If you would prefer not to walk, there are a selection of ride share services such as RideAustin (our favorite), Lyft, or Uber. The street has two names, Hamilton Ave and Richard Overton Ave. Depending on your map source you may see either one pop up. Richard Overton is the oldest living American and American World War II veteran at 112 years of age. He lives down the block where be bought a house after the war ended.

Entering the condo through the French patio doors, stylish and contemporary furnishings greet you in the living room. With ample seating, it is the ideal place to rest and unwind. The plush velvet couch is the perfect spot to watch your favorite TV shows or a movie on the flat screen TV. Additionally, access high-speed wireless Internet throughout the condo for business or pleasure. My home comfortably sleeps four as the couch easily folds out to a queen size mattress. The kitchen has top of the line finishes with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped for your cooking pleasure. It’s easy to stock your fridge with healthy snacks at the Whole Foods just 3 blocks away. Back through the living room is the private one bedroom master suite. Enjoy a great night’s sleep on the comfy queen-size bed with fresh white linens. The closet is spacious and has a handy built-in dresser, containing extra amenities, towels and linens. The en-suite bathroom has high-end features- a large white porcelain sink, extra makeup vanity and rainfall shower lend a luxurious feel. There’s 1 reserved parking spot for you at the condo complex. Additional guest parking is also available on site. A unique individual code will be provided to each guest to access the secured front door. The apartment is set on a quiet street in the downtown area of Clarksville, one block away from the shops and restaurants of West 6th Street. Also nearby are riverside parks and venues hosting Austin City Limits and SXSW festival events. Uber and Lyft are available, as well as other great alternatives such as Fasten and Austin Ride Share that can pick you up in minutes. If you don't want to rent a car or go by foot, zipCar and Car2Go are vehicle sharing services that have multiple locations around town. There are also many bicycle stations around town, where you can pick up and drop off bikes between use - just search for B-cycle Austin, for details.
