The Gardeners Cottage @ Corvisel - cosy & quirky!

The Gardeners Cottage is set within the walled gardens of Corvisel House, built by Rear Admiral John McKerlie in 1829. We have restored the cottage in a vintage, quirky style with Donegal & Harris tweed soft furnishings & floral accents to reflect the glorious garden outside! It's located at the edge of Newton Stewart so very handy for evening strolls to the eateries in town. You can take walks in our small forest from the courtyard & hang out in the walled garden - green fingers are welcomed!!

Popsal cottage is a charming stone built two bedroom home, exuding charcter and warmth. Nestled in a picturesque setting, it boasts stunning views of the surrounding countryside, making it an idyllic retreat for those seeking tranquility. Nestled in a secluded glen surrounded by mountains and forest, comfortable family holiday accommodation in a detached cottage. Close to the Galloway Forest park, an excellent base for walking, mountain biking and star gazing due to the dark skies. The famous Southern Upland Way walking route is accessible on foot from the cottage along with other beautiful hill walking, including some impressive peaks with breathtaking views. Streams and pools nearby for paddling and wild swimming adventures.

2 Calgow Cottages is a fully refurbished semi-detached cottage in the heart of Galloway, within walking distance of Newton Stewart, described as the 'Gateway to the Galloway Hills'. Our large garden backs on to the mature woodlands of Kirroughtree Forest, famous for its recreational offering including bike shop and cafe, walking trails, and home to one of the 'seven stanes' mountain biking sites. Closeby are miles of coastline, hills, and spectacular scenery, ideal for that perfect getaway.

The cottage has recently undergone a full restoration meaning that lucky guests will get to experience a light, airy and modern space that has been finished to a very high standard. Kirkcudbright has a bustling community and runs events throughout the year including Farmer Markets, Floodlit Tattoo and Festival of Light which ends with a spectacular firework display.

The Old Toll House Petite and perfectly formed

Petite but perfectly formed The Old Toll house is a perfect base to explore Dumfries and Galloway. The Old Toll house was built in 1813 the same time as the bridge was built. It was the original Toll house used to collect the payment for people crossing between Newton Stewart and Minnigaff. The old wooden bridge and ford was replaced in 1813 John Rennie (The Elder) won the honour of the commission. Thomas Telford his competitor also submitted plans. Thank you for your booking.

The Kennels is an adorable one bedroom cottage that has been newly refurbished. Nestled in our private estate The Kennels offers comfortable and stylish accommodation. It is equipped with a log burner and Everhot oven. Outside, beyond the patio with fire pit, is a private enclosed garden, beyond this, there is a woodland with bubbling burn (stream) and the estate grounds. The estate is in a Dark Sky national park and the Galloway Forest Park. Perfect for relaxation and exploration!

With stunning views over the bay and Galloway hills, you can relax with the whole family or friends. This beautiful area of Galloway has wonderful beaches, scenic hills and forests. A well behaved dog is welcome, the house is fully fenced (1.3m high at lowest point) and there are dog walking areas at the doorstep and a children's play park 50m away.

Welcome to our idyllic riverside cottage. Nestled in the picturesque Dumfries & Galloway countryside and set on the banks of Cairn Water. The area is rich with wildlife. Red squirrel, deer, kingfisher, woodpecker, red kite, buzzard and otter are just a few of the local visitors spotted from our garden. Stepford Station Cottage is the perfect cosy retreat for nature lovers. We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs at no extra fee.

Cosy Cottage

The Old Post Office is a cosy little cottage on the High street of Scotland's smallest Royal Burgh. It was built in 1835 and was one of the many homes the local Post office has enjoyed over the centuries. There are steps up to the entrance and the staircase is quite steep and narrow so not suitable for all. The bedroom and bathroom are snug with low ceilings. The kitchen diner has a log burner for keeping the cottage toastie.
